Although I like ultra settings I play on potato with everything off. Since it is 95% a pvp game it's better for me to see the enemy on potato rather than ultra. I just wish I can get the trees and bushes to not look like a blob but still get the reduced size of the trees as potato gives. To clarify on ultra (or with tree quality up) the trees look better but the leaves fill in more and the branches get fatter. Whereas on potato (or tree quality off) the leaves are shrunk but look like shit and the branches are slimmer.

I played and liked first 5 COD games. Then it had gone out of control and became increasingly stale with each new release.

I love Starfield, great character space RPG, doesn’t need the seamless space flight of No Mans Sky. If you love Mass Effect you will love this. Mass Effect had less than Starfield.

Idk where all the hate is coming from. There’s so much variety in missions, you can choose your own pace in how you approach the main quests (like ng+) or side quests, or the outpost system, or just exploring. There’s so many unique environments and npc interactions. Performance wise, starfield is way better than skyrim or fo4 on launch. I just don’t understand, if you’re a skyrim or fallout fan, what’s your problem with this game?

Starfield is not GOTY Material by any means, but it is a very enjoyable experience for several hundred hours.

Its not a bad game just mid

Currently I would give Starfield a 4 or 4.5 out of 10. Simply put Starfield is a game held back by a very old game engine and suffers from, and is the ultimate expression, of lazy game development. I'm not saying the Devs themselves are lazy. I am saying the executives at Bethesda, including Todd Howard, are putting profits over quality by not wanting to pay for the man hours to make complex games like Bethesda used to make. Morrowind was the peak of Bethesda games with complex systems and choices that mattered. Every game since has been less complex and dumbed down. Another expression of this mentality is also shown in every game since Morrowind. A prime example is the fact Bethesda would not pay some one to do bug fixes. Instead they left up to the modders. Less man hour costs and More profit! Then add in the AAA gaming industries practice of releasing clearly unfinished games for some quick profit and then going back to finish the game later on. Assuming they even bother to fix the games at all. Prime example is Fallout 76. Cyberpunk 2077 is another. Granted both games have continued to be worked on. Mostly due to the players raking both companies over the coals. A couple of games that did not get fixed are Redfall and Anthem. Then there is the large dose of woke cult ideology slathered all over the game. What I am not sure about is if this was Bethesda's idea or if Microsoft made them do it when the game was delayed for a year on Microsoft's orders.

Starfield is a solid C. Definitely a passing grade, but nothing to get too excited about. I wish that people would stop calling it bad. It isn’t bad. An F is bad.

10/10 games aren't "flawless masterpieces" themselves. but Starfield isn't even a 9, 8, or 7 out of 10. if I'm feeling very generous I'd give it a 6/10, but on a normal day I'd say it's a 5/10

I am enjoying Starfield very much but it has some downsides. It is a Bethesda game, bugs are part of the experience but still... annoying. The main story is wrongly paced and just to short compared to what more there is to do in sidequests. Especially "the choice between lodge and key" comes way to early New Game Plus is not New Game Plus. There is virtually no way to return to the original game to finish sidequests (which ties in with the main questline being to short) and there is not really anything added, it is just a second run with slightly higher difficulty. I also find the new ship and suit to be meh. It looks nice at first but quickly rese,bles the waiting room of your dentist. First thing I do is buy my shieldbreaker back (yes I wemod myself the money)

I mean..no lol. You hit on a few good points but the games not a game changer and how can you get immersed in this trainwreck of a loading screen simulator 😂. Its a huge step back so far. Gamepass this game and save some money, as is it isnt worth the price tag. 😢 games mid at best.
