This show was great. Some parts of this show remind me of my own house growing up. There's not much difference between Trinidadian parents (like the parents of the show) and Jamaican parents (mine).
Refreshing to see a show where the father’s are in the kids life. Thats what I loved about Good Times, they were poor but they had each other.. I love Flex, lots of these actors in these sitcoms that don’t make it went on to be successful, good.
Hey guys, speaking of Fresh Prince and Out All Night, here's a fact for ya: Patti LaBelle who plays Chelsea Paige is older than all the cast members of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and here's a sad, but true fact: Patti LaBelle has outlived Uncle Phil himself James Avery aka Shredder Patti was born in 1944, Daphne Maxwell Reid & Joseph Marcell were both born in 1948 and James Avery was born in 1945 died in 2013
This show was a spin off of fresh prince same producers and writers. Low TV ratings throughout the shows run killed it. Saturday night tv was a tough time slot to have when people were watching tv more on Thursdays and friday nights in the 90s
The problem was that after The Cosby Show and The Golden Girls ended, Saturday Night wasn't a powerhouse anymore and Thursday Night, it was up against The Simpson (which I find absurd) and Friday Nights, it was up against Family Matters A Different World going up against Martin and Out All Night going up against Family Matters is what caused both NBC shows to be cancelled Jasmine Guy stated that she didn't like the idea of having 2 sitcoms with all black cast against each other Plus, the L.A. Riots had a lot to do with it as well, I mean hey, it worked with Fresh Prince and Black Sitcoms like Fresh Prince, Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Family Matters, Martin and the sketch comedy In Living Color were still going strong
Wow. Great show, amazing cast and imortant topics. However, anything that talk about serious topics that informs and educates Black People about being sucessful never last long.
How she hit him n how she was mad. I wish she could come n not some ppl out at my 3 come to mind. Sic of haters n nepotism at my job..i deal rude n mean spirited ppl.
i used to watch this show. Looking back now at how the show ran. They must have had white writers. The content is drab and safe and the show runs like a grown up version of 'Saved by the bell' No wonder it last one season.
What an ignorant comment! Most black shows in this era had white writers. Fresh Prince which was on this same network and lasted more than one season had white writers.
@@blueblur2273 so your comparing the very talented wil smith to duane(no career lasting) Martin , a ghetto one dimension actress Vivica A fox and a drag Morris Chestnut. Kick rock fool
@@blueblur2273 Exactly, Andy & Susan Borowitz did a great job creating Fresh Prince and they were Executive Producers of Season 1 and Executive Consultants for the rest of the series Winifred Hervey was Executive Producer for Season 2 and she's black, yet she wrote for a sitcom with all white cast called The Golden Girls and won an Emmy for it So yes, there's nothing wrong with color
During the era Martin brought cussing and disrespect( Archie Bunker/Ralph Kramden) to tv with some flavor. Every family wasn't Cosby so South Central and where I live showed the poor with and without a father.Martin attracted ppl. moving out on their own or fatherless homes.Homes with father's thought Martin was a disrespectful ass..Surely didn't want their kids acting like him..
Man I was born in 92 I memba my sister watching shows like these I'm 32 and literally typed this gem❤
You can easily tell a 90s show when you see. But damn I didn’t know Jrue Holiday had his own show 😂
This show was great. Some parts of this show remind me of my own house growing up. There's not much difference between Trinidadian parents (like the parents of the show) and Jamaican parents (mine).
Doug always playing a hater in his roles 😅 this was my show tho👍🏿

I never knew this show existed
I thought this show was awesome as a child. I wish it had lasted longer.

Another fact: Both shows feature its leading stars who are Grammy and American Music Award-winning recording artists flanked by talented actors.
Doug E. Doug is hilarious. I wish we could’ve seen more of him.
Out All Night from the Creators of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Aliens in the Family and the Co-Producer of Between Brothers and Grown-Ups
I think I actually remember this one

Lmao the show was created by two white guys?
Loved this show and the theme music

Gosh, Boys II Men really missed those days because they are the best from Philly and are amazing singers.
The show based on Calvin’s friends while he was working at McDonald’s😂

Ladies always love flex

Amen!!!@@tnawcwvictoria
I remember this show. I used to really like it.
Good show😊
This looks like it was shot in Martin's apartment
I feel that I've entered a parallel universe discovering that Simon O'Brien was in this 😂
I watched a few eps of this when it was on back in 1993, it was all right. I liked it's theme song too!
I remember this when I was a little girl. I liked this show. 👍🏼POST THE SERIES
Now why they dress Vivica up like Blossom??? 🤭🤭😁
Ayeee, Columbus GA...born and raised! I use to love this show as a kid.
There was more shows for african americans back then than there is today on tv even during this current "woke trend"
Only one season so again we still have to stay WOKE!
I would love to see both Seasons of this. But it doesn't seem to be anywhere at all.
This was another show that got overlooked I thought it worked well
I never knew that the lovable cheeky Scouser Damon Grant (Simon O'Brien) was in an American sitcom!
Me neither. Knew he was in Fraggle Rock but not this.
When Nate first walked in I thought it was the same Nate from the movie Set It Off
They didn't give black shows half a chance for realllllll
That's sad
When was this? Before Family Matters, because isn’t Telma Hopkins from FM?
Yes
Thelma left family matters in the 4th season to do this show
Lol Deon and Merlin were on the Cosby Show together as Rudy’s love interests, well Bud wasn’t but Stanley sure was 😂

RIP Merlín Santana & Cindy Williams
When vivica fox was ……………………?????
i love doug e doug
I love doug e doug
I think the shows like this put a bad taste in some people's mouth and they made sure not to let these thrive 🤷🏿♂️
Oh wow! Vivica and Morris were on this together before, "Two can play that game" hahaha
and Vivica and Duane before they worked with Jon Cryer and Elliott Gould in the FOX Series Getting Personal
Seeing Ricky Martin with that long grunge hair is a trip.
Dawg... this n*gga name Flex in everything...
"Awwwwww how cute! A black neighborhood."
How cute a rac1st
Where can I watch the rest of the episodes!???
How can I find the DVD for the show
What a great show. Another Black show gone too soon
Don’t remember this. One season wonder, probably……smh
