As far as I know, this pro case is theonly one is this niche. What I can't quite figure out is why people spend $100s on iphone cages and add-on when the pocket 3 does everything it does.

Being a Samsung Note owner all the way back to the Note 5 (I think), I didn't not want to give up my Note 9, the best Note they ever made. Sadly, it was 6 generations old, it would only run Android 10, and the battery life was not good... I grudgingly upgrade to the S24 Ultra, goodbye headphone jack, goodbye SD card storage... <snif> That said, I'm really starting to love the S24 Ultra. Ya ya ya, AI is a lot of hype, but this feature is the Bomb!

Hahah... Slot = Cold Shoe! This rig was super easy to set up! Keeping track of all the parts is the hardest part. Also, the removing the Pocket 3 from the Pro Case is kinda scary, it's in there tight.

Sorry if this is long winded. I'm just an enthusiast, this channel is not Monotized. I'm not interested in doing the same overview as 100 other monotized channels already have. Thus, I focus on subjects and features that I found useful. The next post will be ASAP (As Short As Possible), but not a Tiktok.

If you're noticing some jitters in the middle of this video, it's because I wasn't using the Pocket 3 (since I was filming the Pocket 3).... How quickly we forget! I needed to use my ZV1 handheld and forgot about how bad handheld is on a regular camera, no gimbal. FCPX Stabilization got rid of the worst of it, but it still has some jello to it. Pocket 3 > ZV1 !

If you're wondering why the shots of the Pocket 3 are a bit jiggly, It's because I used a ZV1 handheld and FCPX Stabilization did a so-so job of stabling the shot. I've become so accustomed to the Pocket 3's gimbal, I forgot what a pain a handheld shot can be. Gone are the days of lugging a gimbal, I'm not going back!

Does this work on the outside of the windshield on the freeway?

Really a great video! Thanks for sharing, Mike! I'm trying this out with 3 ft 1600 lumen 4000k LED lights. Started with all of the clamp lights but they act as spot lights so it wasn't ideal.

Could you tell me what lav mic you are using and are you plugged directly into mic input on atem? I plugged my lav mic directly in and it sounds awful.

Not sure what was going on with my voice, sounds like I have a cold. Anyway, I'm hopeful the ATEM firmware on the ISO will improve. Currently, the generated Resolve XML does not include PIPs. Nor does it a multicam clip, saving cuts as a multicam vs the cuts as separate clips. Per the video you have do all that manually (if I understand how it works). Per the description, I'm hoping the real experts will come up with easier work-arounds.

Hi there. There are two schools of thoughts on how to use audio within a live switcher, like the ATEM. The first would be to connect all mics to your main camera, and make sure AFV is off and Delay on the ATEM is off. This is the camera doing the work to sync video and sound together, just like it would in the field. The signal into the ATEM would be matched, and any latency caused by the ATEM would still be in sync on final output. The second method would be to add mics directly to the ATEM. This is where the delay would be used. The audio transmits faster than video, so if you think audio being a sports car and video a van, you need to start the sports car back a bit - to even the two out on a race track side by side. Either way works, and there’s no right or wrong way - just weigh out the benefits for your use. That’s my $0.02. K

Interesting comparison. The W.Lav Micro was only coming through on the left channel. I don’t have a GH5, but there’s probably a setting in the camera to correct it, or it can be done in post. I would check out forum.livevideotech.today/. There are a bunch of ATEM Mini users there who should be able to help.

FYI, the T5 connects to the Note 9, USB C to USB C. But it does not connect without 12v power on this Hub. I guess the power consumption of the hub puts it over the edge. And, there's no reason to use the hub with just a T5. To me, this is just another reason that makes the Note 9 with the 500 GB option worth while. A) It's faster than a 128 or 256 GB drive (for video) and, B) you have plenty of internal space to back up other media (Temporary).

Sorry about the crappy sound on the 1st part of the video.... never use cell phone audio on YT posts! The 2nd part used my MBP Mic which I'm actually impressed with compared to older laptops. ALSO, no need to do a Note 9 Video on the HUB.... the HUB works, connects to any single source (SD card or SSD), but not two at the same time. I'm pretty sure this is an Android limitation for the USB C port

What type of fabric can I use? I don't have access to green screen fabric. Should it be matte or glossy? Thin or thick?

Have you tried opening apps from the sd card? If so, is the performance noticeably different?
