I grew up watching Ricky Henderson. I was a Yankee fan but Ricky was my favorite. When my son was born in 1990 of course we named him Richard Anthony. But I've always called him my little Ricky.
Crazy man/we all wanted to be him: "Today, I am the greatest of all time." Nobody held it against him, because he was just being Rickey. Funny as Hell.. I mean, millions of little kids in the Little League..stole 2nd and 3rd because of that guy. Even home! Love you, my man/always.
Me and some co-workers were in a strip club in Fort Lauderdale in the early 90’s and in comes a a fairly small black guy dressed in a brown suit (looked sharper than everyone in the place) with an entourage of close to 10. He walked next to me and the guy seemed too small to be Ricky Henderson but,I recognized him and said hello. He wore a big smile, said hello back and they all kept moving. They must have had a separate spot because I didn’t see him again. I want to say the place was called Diamond Dolls and the girls working that night were among the most attractive girls I’ve ever seen but Ricky was the highlight that night.
Thanks for the Memories Ricky!! God it sucks getting older and seeing all these people that you grew up watching die. I still see all of them the way I remember them as Kids. Anyways thanks for setting the Bar high Mr Henderson. Rest In Pease and have fun getting together with all the greats we’ve lost in Heaven for a Game. You got your speed and youth back so I’m sure you’re up there stealing some bases already!
“Ricky gonna steal second and Then Ricky gonna steal third and there’s nothing you gonna do bout’it “.. that is Ricky talking to every first baseman he came across.. loved watching him play
Galaraga’s and Scherzer’s should’ve been perfect games. With review those are both overturned. The rest are just examples that it’s not guaranteed until you get the final out. No matter what the situation is.
Domingo Herman
Thank you for everything, Ricky!
Seriously left Wyatt Langford out?
Arod???????
RIP. BROTHER

Never be broken
I just feel bad that he had to live in Oakland for so long.
A true legend. Baseball was better for having him
So many great Rickey stories. So lucky to grow up in the Bay Area and able to see him play in person. Truly a baseball great! 😢
I don't think his record will be broken. You have to be able to play for 25 years or more. He had 1406 and 2nd place is 468 behind him.
A record that will truly never be broken. Unreal.

I’ll never forget raising the bag. What a great man
Cal Ripken hit more home runs than kent and piazza? What a stud

It’s wild how they’re almost all RH hitters.

Half a second for Papi!? What are we doing?!
Give Galaraga his perfect game damn it it harms no one even the umpire said he fucked up
How you not going to say José Reyes🤔
field just became a whole lot freer hahaha
PCA⚡️
A Ricky run goes as follows. Walk to first, steal second and third followed by a sacrifice fly ball!
Feels like so long! Wth is going on in then outfield! 😅 also stand up inside the park HR is insane too
True GOAT Best leadoff of all time sad day for baseball fans😢😢😢
Tony are you from Sonoma CA
I used to run home to home in 15.9 sec

2010 was my favorite
Find someone who cares about you as much as baseball casuals care about Armando Galarraga's perfect game
PCA!
Halladay was the best. Wish he could have been a Yankee.
Went from 3 perfect games in the same season, to Domingo German getting the only one in the next 9 years
Tim Lincecum
Kershaw had a perfect game except for an errer juan uribe made which turned it into a no hitter, quite sad
German pitching a perfect game and a Maddox is pretty damn impressive
billy hamilton prime would smoke these guys in a race
Fernando should be on this list. He’s stolen home and scored a tag on an infield pop up, none of these guys have.
Galaraga’s and Scherzer’s should’ve been perfect games. With review those are both overturned. The rest are just examples that it’s not guaranteed until you get the final out. No matter what the situation is.
RIP Roy Holiday
We all knew what would be number 1
Lets be honest elly is a freak of nature
As a Yankees fan, I despise that Domingo tossed a perfect game
Imagine if BWJ didn’t hesitate at first
Where Rickey
