RMG 280D sailwinch fault. Runs very slow. only 0.3 volts leaving MOSFETs. MOSFETs changed. still the same fault
I started disassembling the whoooooole door locking mechanism from the actuator to this part 😅 I just swapped doors and I only want to change this part even though I will probably never use it 😬
THANK YOU so much!!😃😃
I used a precision flathead screwdriver and pushed down hard on the clip from the outside - between the gap of the handle and door skin. Worked like a charm 👍
wich door is that? is it the drivers side? if i order from eBay a cylinder with key it will work on any side or it has to be the right side?
Is this something I could do myself. Would you happen to have a process of accessing the lock mechanism to remove it from the door for this process? Thanks
Nice thankyou
Thank you so much! I used both of your techniques. First I took a long thin screw driver on the outside of the door between the door handle and door skin and pushed down on the clip leg and kind of wedged it in there and left the screwdriver in there. Then I went on the inside of the door with a little pocket screwdriver and was able to pry the clip half way off and it then released the cylinder and I slid it out and slid the new cylinder in. Then I just used my fingers to snap the clip back into place.
So door card off, without taking door handle off an get flick the clip out as you showed, or best get handle totally off door, thanks Dan
If you only want to change the lock barrel there is no need to remove the door handle. If the barrel does not slip out easily, loosen the door handle bolts a little and wiggle the handle to free the barrel. I assume you got the clip out. I only took the handle off to get good light to make the video
can I just chuck the clip in the bin after? I'm imagining this nightmare of trying to get that back on after lol. @@erniefoster4222
Thanks Stewart. I have an account with RS Components in England. I got a few pots exactly the same. Rob at RMG is very helpful with strange faults.
Did you ever get anyone to help you with the repair. I believe you needed to replace the pot.
