I was wondering about ordering some rainbow shiners. Can they survive in this much flow? My aquarium has a similar amount of flow. Only seen them in low flow aquariums.
They do great in my high flow tanks. Just remember, the more active they are, the more food they will need. For my stream tanks, I feed sera o-nips so the food stays in one place for them.
Awesome! I'll make a video about my pond setup soon I'm growing out adfs in there rn but they will be being moved to a 10 gallon built for them in the next week I wanna get a betta for the 5.5 pond setup. I've also got a stream tank and a blackwater tank. And a tank for a rare goby as well o.o
Found you through FF channel and glad I did! Nice tank set up, that shallow one with the immersed driftwood is a dream. That's going to be fantastic once grown out!
Ahhh. Gar
*F I S H*
I want some!
Check back in the spring!
That’s a cool setup! May I ask how did you get your saffron shiners? I’m looking for this species for a long time but couldn’t find anyone selling😢
Thanks for watching! I collected mine from the wild in Virginia
I may have some available come spring time if I can get them to spawn again.
Dang
That's what she said. 😅
That is mind blowingly accurate 🤯
Thank you!

Nice native fish
Thank you!
They look like mini salmon 😅
Yeah I can see that in the color!
I have a bowfin also , just got him
what about filtration u dint show about it in any of ur videos for this setup
This aquarium has a sun sun 704b canister filter.
Crescent shiners?
Yes, crescent, saffron, and mountain redbelly dace.
Is your water brackish or saltwater?
This is a brackish aquarium.
Looking good
Thank you! Cheers!
Badass man, hope your doing well
Thanks ! I am! Just been super busy with life.
Beautiful Scene ❤️
We are going to need a longer video on these guys, see the whole setup and see them feeding! :-)
I'll work on that.
Subed you ABC
Subscribed👍
Do you have a chiller in there ? And lots of flo
Yeah there is a 1hp chiller and pretty good current in this aquarium
I think..... some blueheads would be great with it!
That’s a pretty HUGE CPD 😮
😂
how to make the pattern like that, mine has no pattern at all
Idk mine has always looked like this. You may have bowfin. Yours may be Amia ocellicauda.
What did you use for substratit
Dirt capped with very fine sand/clay mixture.
She’s like “whenever you’re done”
Haha yeah definitely
How do you clean it
Just do water changes bi-weekly.
I love the algea being used It brings a really natural look to it!
Thank you! It also helps promote spawning for some of the fish in there as it creates refuge for microfauna for them to feed on.

@scorpionspets9832 I love my stream tank! One of my favorite I've built.
You should make build videos for future projects
I've got a few in the works! There is actually a build video of this aquarium in my stream tank Playlist if you are interested! Thanks for watching!!
Dwarf sunfish heaven
It really is! My Elassoma Gilberti spawn in here.
lol
Very beautiful. Subscribed.
Thanks and welcome!
This has to be the most realistic aquascape I've ever seen.
Thank you! That means a lot!
😮 you find all this drift wood yourself of purchase it
I collect it all myself. I collect all hardscape material locally for my Aquariums.
Impressive how do you have you filtration set up on it looks like a really neat way to do it
The false bottom is for flow rather than filtration. It's to create a continuous laminar flow to better simulate a stream.
@@abcaquaticbiotopecreations8915 I seen the video of you making it very well built and thought out
@austinval222 thank you so much for watching!
Here from funk livestream. Stay motivated 🤞😎
Thank you, I will!
