What is the best car you can get for $50k?
I think I’m going to have to look at an XB7 after this.
The optional premium sound system is by Bowers & Wilkins
One of these could be a great bargain bin find in a few years.
Can we get more screen time of the cameraman in the back? 😮💨
He has a lot more screen time in the Jaguar video and the M6 video.
After that ad? No thanks.
Yes, that made all of us want to drive off a bridge. You can read our thoughts about it in our recent community post: ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1cds6PCwe_7fskWwH03k3ngL4JiJHDdz?feature=shared
It USA load of crap a real pile of junk
Did you check the front supsension knuckles? These are known to crack and break on the l405. Then the wheel falls off.
Get a Bovee and then you can stream music through the Aux setting. Zero compression. I have the same color combo but in a 2012.
I, too, drive my 2nd-gen Solara from Pittsburgh to Erie on a regular basis. Any opinions on how the car handles compared to a Camry? The design is so close to an ES330 that I was wondering if the handling characteristics carried over.
It drives better than a 996 … just my 2 cents.
Wow, they look a lot cleaner without the step
It looks like a completely different vehicle.
I'd really love more videos on your boxster! I just picked up a 2002 boxster, 2.7 with 62k miles here in the UK. Seeing yours go to 130k miles fills me with confidence that with the right maintenance, mine will keep going on and on.
My UK 2.7 has 155k miles and drives tight as tight. Just changed its original clutch and inspected the dual row (it's a 2000 car) IMS bearing and it had no detectible wear at all. Happy to leave it in place, do regular oil changes and generally stay ahead of the maintenance curve where I can.
You’re correct about the new model looking Scandinavian.
You should try the 3 Litre Diesel 285bhp in the UK. And still gets 50 mpg on a run.
I have the 987 s… It’s a far better car than the 996 Carrera. It is an absolute riot to drive with perfect balance and over 300 hp..
Give me a black Wraith with white wheels all day.
The Century has a wool interior, not velour. IIrc its because its quieter than leather. Also I wish i had seen that Century there. There was an SVX on Sunday.
That’s incredible that it has a wool interior.
Having now gotten a chance to use the newest infotainment system, I am certainly considering a defender.
A defender is no Range Rover.
I had 3 M6. The first was the 5L V10 which was good but extremely thirsty. The other 2 were 4.4L V8s. Great cars and i never had a problem with any of them.
I’m in the UK and bought a L405 Autobiography MY2013 4.4 turbo diesel last year when I retired. I’d always liked the look of them for many years and despite the horror stories I’d heard regarding the reliability I bought one. Your review was spot on with the comfort and other details on the interior ect. But what I would say is that before I retired I’d driven as a chauffeur with my last car being a W222 Lwb Mercedes S Class and I’ve gotta say it was the best ride for comfort for driver and passengers you could ever have and beats the RR hands down. Really loved your review and enjoy the Rangie😊
Yassss slay
Hey do you guys need any writers for the magazine? I'm a part-time writer and long time automotive fanatic. Would love to write :)
If your unsure as to whether to buy a defender, then I would say, watch "Harrys Garage" video on the defender. Absolutely brilliant.
5:58 for $152k the seats better be leather, heated , ventilated and massaging
Is expensive because you are buying performance on this car rather than luxury. Is just like m4 and m4 csl. Csl is less luxury but is all about performance.
I’m curious to see what effect this will have on the used V8 Defender Market.
Exactly.
Also I like how chill and calming this video is. Just a lil chat in nature. Amplify those rain and bird noises. Maybe a little lofi in the background lol.
I applaud their dedication to speed and power. But the price is absurd. Still, I’d like to see how it gets its power down off road.
My old jaguar had electric, heated, cooled and massage on all 4 seats
The jaguar on the bonnet spoils it
I have a M6 and I love it !!!! I juts miss It a lot because I'm deployed but where do you usually get your maintenance done ?
This video has reinstated my wanting to buy one. No mention of the unreliability factor which I think could be exaggerated. Hope to get one soon. Great video, thanks.
I bought one last year. Best money I’ve ever spent! I wasn’t a fan of this model some years ago, then I drove it and fully understood it. I bought it straight away after that! Enjoy the ride!
Nice video fellas
Hey a Pittsburgh rover review!!!! Lets goo!!! I've had 13 of them and live in Pittsburgh!
Good review !
The reason you rarely see 2nd gen manuals is because you were only able to get a manual for the 4 cylinder. All v6s only came with the auto. Also, convertibles only came in a v6, which meant only autos.
2:47 i own a 2007 Solara SLE V6 convertible, and i currently sleep in it because i'm homeless. I do have to agree that the seats are crazy comfortable. I used to own a 2000 Toyota celica gt-s, and sleeping in that was harder as it had leather too, but they were bucket seats. Unfortunately, that car got totaled on april fools day at 1am by a loser not paying attention. I decided to get a solara convertible with the other guy's insurance money as my next car as i might as well enjoy myself with a convertible while i'm homeless, and make sure it's a reliable one. Only major repair has been the timing belt. After that, just oil changes and brake jobs. Currently working security, but in miami, the rent is too expensive to live anywhere by myself, so i applied to the Atlanta Police department as the cost of living is cheaper over there as well as the increase in pay. I passed the written test so far, i just need to take my other tests, and i should be gone from Florida by the end of the year and into my new home in georgia. If you read all of this, i do appreciate it a lot, and i'm glad you love this car as much as i do. Edit: If you want to make a vid on my car, i'm 100% down to do it. It's absolute red color, original paint and top.
What mileage did the timing belt need to be replaced at? Also, good luck with the rest of the hiring process.
Did you guys get that coolant leak sorted? Any other issues with it since the video was filmed/posted?
The coolant leak was just a very tiny pinhole that has seemingly been remedied by a liquid leak repair. It’s hasn’t asked for anything since then (maybe a month or so ago) so I’m assuming it’s fine. Other than that it’s just had two new front tires. It continues to do its job quite well and with minimal hiccups. A little luck probably helps too.
@@Compose_Media how many kms on it? I have an Autobiography here in Toronto
What was the brake noise that you had? Just the nature of the beast?
NICE RELAXED REVIEW THANK YOU
Jaguar needs to get back to making cars like this.
They need to drop the electric fixation. The F-Pace is great. Especially the SVR. Same with the F-Type. The XF and XE just seem like random cars. The XJ was a statement vehicle. It’s such a shame they don’t make it anymore.
10/10 description. With both the landrover videos and this new release, my opinion of JLR reliability has gone up a surprising amount. Also I'm assuming this car has horrific blind spots.
I haven’t noticed any blind spots to be quite honest. The mirrors are quite good.
Where in W. PA. I tried to gauge by the roads but no dice. Looks like Oil City or NewCastle . I own same car going on 3 yrs. Had my first issue 2 days ago regarding the alternator ,popped the rear open and think its the belt slipping more than the alternator but ordered both. Use the car, dont let it sit and all will be good.
Bought my 986 about a year ago and have loved every second of it. It’s been sitting on stands for the last two months due to an oil leak but should be pretty simple fix (spark plug tubes). To anyone who’s on the fence, just do it. You won’t regret it.
Really enjoyed your video, I have a range rover, not the same but I like it, more videos like this please.
This is so Midwest Emo.
Absolutely no need to defend the 986 Boxster. The car looked fine to me from Day 1. Yes, I even liked the headlights. Grant Larsen did a magnificent job crafting the shape of the car. It looks balanced; not easy to do in a mid-engined car. It respects Porsche heritage. The 986 and 987 are the only Boxsters that can trace their design roots directly back to Kommenda, back to the 718 RSK. Don't think of it as a lesser 911, or as a stepping stone to a 911. The Boxster is very much its own car. The fact that the car can shine, even after Porsche knee capped its engine (in order to sell the pricier 911) shows how great it really is.
There is no hate for this car. It sold most of all Porche models, so should that not say something. Enough with the constant videos justifying the value of the car, the terms have already been set a long time ago.
