EV3 is programmed in Java on LeJOS to drive and steer this LEGO technic Unimog 406. The Unimog is not manually controlled but driven by the LEGO EV3 brick in this video. Unimog is a 1:12 scale model of the iconic Mercedes-Benz Unimog 406 which was built from 1963 to 1989.

EV3 controls via mindsensors NXTServo-V3, LEGO 8879 remote control and 4 power function receivers all 8 motors in this 8110 unimog. I found them easier to operate. Crane got a bit bigger though with 4 M-motors and 2 IR-receivers. Rotation is still powered from unimog. Crane can be connected on back and front side of unimog.
