Just rewatched this old video, omg, the bike was so creaky!

Seriously, what are doing walking on a mountain bike trail, did they run out of space to walk on the planet?

So last Saturday I just had the same fall, going faster and at steeper angle at Quiet Waters Potato Patch section. Scrapped my left shoulders badly, my left wrist it's sprained, maybe with a hairline fracture cos it's starting to ache like a mother, gravel punctures on my right hand palm, banged my head so hard that now I understand the cartoons with birds and stars circling the coyote's head and a few more scraps, nothing major. I was wearing elbow/knee pads but no gloves. I think the helmet saved my existence. I paused yr video to see your wrist landing in the dirt and it gave me chills, glad u didn't get hurt! (i know this video is ancient but still) So to wrap it up my air pressure on the rear was 30 psi instead of the 23 to 25 that I been using ( I'm 115Lb) and even though I was going fast, not fast enough for the angle I took on the berm just before the bump leading to the wooden bridge. Next time up in the trail I'll wear wrist bands, to me now are as important than the knee pads. I think this is the longest I ever written on Social Media, still licking my wounds. compared to virginia keys, these blue trails don't look complex at all. They're like a green 2.0. I spoke a bit too soon lol towards the 30 min mark they get a little techy. not bad at all

Trail has no flow and is boring now that you have to ride it backward. You will get bored easily. Markham and VK are light years better

I wouldn’t exactly compare those run-ups at the end to ‘skinnies’. I don’t think you were gonna slide off them at all. You were in your head way too much on them. Gotta be more confident in your riding man

Those trails are insanely rooted. Rode it for years on a hard tail, and now 10 years later my. Lower back reminds me, amd I’m also 2 inches shorter. Moving to a full suspension was like a Lincoln Town Car.

Thanks for the vid. Glad to see you riding again! I got Covid recently as well and even though it was nothing but the sniffles for me I made sure to ease back into the trails by monitoring my heart rate with my Polar heart monitor. I tend to sprint a lot more on the trails so I just rode around the parks for a bit and had no issue. As always: listen to your body and don't be headstrong when you feel off. The golden rule us trainers have always told peeps is to not go all out any time you have any chest congestion. I don't even lift much at all when I have a chest cold.
