After all the explicit and obvious references to all the games from across _all three timelines_ in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom it's impossible for the Era of the Wild to not be connected to the aforementioned three timelines. My current stance on the "lore" revealed in the Master Works book is that it's fabricated fanfiction written by a third party publisher very much like the Zelda Encyclopedia and its fabricated fanfiction added by Nintendo Dream Magazine. I need some form of confirmation from Aonuma and co. before i'll believe anything this book has to say.

@@darkdagger5237so, here is what I found out. No, we cannot decipher Zonai languages, as there are no charts provided. However, the book explain that there are two types of Zonai script: that being Old Zonai, the green swirl version that is stated to be more holy, and regular Zonai, which is the carvings you see in the shrines, architectures, etc. The purpose of the Zonai language is meant to be noble and provoke ideas in individuals rather that giving them specific letters to read from.

@@koolaidflavas8701 It’s hard for me to really say, as I don’t have a strong stance on where the era of wild is within the timeline, but what I find interesting is that in the show of fealty memory in TOTK, the stained glass window kind of resembles the Four Sword with four beams of light pointing at it. As for the blades location, I need to do more research, but something to me is strange regarding that window in Raurus throne room.

So all of the artifacts should be there to like the hookshot, bows and arrows, lens of truth, ocarina, ect. But we don't know if they were completely destroyed in time or just buried

@@koolaidflavas8701 I said Princess Ruto in this video because at Arbiters Grounds, each of the sages had a tower to stand on, each bearing their symbols. The stand where the killed sage once stood contained the symbol of the water sage. But as you pointed out, it wouldn’t be her because of the OOT time travel shenanigans. I’m hoping that with my rebuilt timeline series I am working super hard on, I will have more accurate information presented!

yeah, I feel like angry "fans" always blame Hyrule Historia for the creation of the timeline, but what is presented is how the developers saw the timeline as they developed each game one by one. There was always a timeline being created, so it's unfair to Hyrule Historia to say that the timeline was just speedily created to please the fans.

@@ganonfan Contrary to popular belief the developers are not responsible for the creation of the official timeline. Every iteration of the official timeline has some obscure mistake that shows that it was constructed by someone who only had a shallow overview of the story to work with. As for the creation of the games the higher ups in Nintendo have told the developers to make the games fit into specific parts of the official timeline and they actively defied orders (Oracle is a good example of this) they instead made the games fit with each other. This makes the developers responsible for the creation of the true timeline while the higher ups are responsible for the creation of the official timeline.

@@browncow5210 yeah, that is very weird, and definitely something I failed to explore in this video. The only reasonable explanation is that Ganon, knowing about Zelda’s plan, sent his minions to prevent the hero from putting the pieces together, but why Ganon wouldn’t go after it himself is quite beyond me. Maybe he just isn’t that smart in this game, but yet again, he was intelligent enough to steal the triforce of power. Yeah, I don’t have an exact explanation, but I could discuss this in a future video and try to come up with a logical explanation.

@@ganonfan In Zelda II the ancient king of Hyrule had placed monsters in the temples so that only his chosen one could obtain the Triforce of courage. Zelda could have done the same thing in Zelda I to prevent Ganon from obtaining the Triforce of wisdom.

@@darkdagger5237 But weren’t the enemies in Zelda 2 created by the king as guardians? I could be wrong since I am still doing my research on that game, but all the enemies in the palaces seemed to be different from the minions of Ganon in the overworld. That’s just what I got from playing Zelda 2, but as I said, still doing the research.

@@ganonfan From what I recall from the research I did the king of Hyrule did create the monsters found in the temples. I get what your saying here since the monsters in dungeon 9 in Zelda I are found in the other dungeons it would imply that they originated from the same source. This is one of the many odd details about dungeon 9 along with matching architecture and the fact that the Silver arrow is stored there as if Ganon did not build it. Think about it how did Ganon obtain the Triforce of power but fail to obtain the Triforce of wisdom. What if dungeon 9 was designed as a trap to contain Ganon.

@@darkdagger5237 I actually enjoyed the gameplay quite a bit. I really loved exploring in the top down perspective finding secrets areas and special towns with each including an old man. For the platformer perspective, I loved experimenting with the different spells and types of attacks (such as the up and down thrusts). In short, I thought the gameplay was very engaging, but I feel like the game gets challenging WAY too quick, and is nearly impossible for a casual gamer looking to play a Zelda game to complete without giving up after the first palace.

@@whtiequillBj What you said here is what many fans don’t understand. I know that behind the scenes, the reason they don’t focus so much on the timeline is because they want to focus on the story of one game, without having to be like “oh, we can’t do that because (fill in the blank)”. However, I find it fascinating to delve into 20+ of their games, and figure out the timeline.

@@ganonfan it is my opinion the official timeline feels like it was made by a committee to optimize profits and ability to make more games rather than homogeneity. Also Breath of the Wild was a response to Skyrim. Which came out very close to Skyward Sword.

@@RogerMedrano yeah, I don’t understand why TOTK needs to be hated for it not exactly connecting to the timeline. I think it’s great to play the games without focusing on the timeline. The reason I love figuring out a timeline is because I find the mystery and the puzzle of it so fascinating and fun to put together.

Most of the games were made with intention that they are a loose collection of tales that are in a connected world. That being said the timeline discussion should be something that adds enjoyment to the games, not to get mad over. And I think with the tangled mess the games have become starting fresh for 2 games, doesn't hurt anything.

Link always has some type of instrument, perhaps the Tri angle? 😂
