it doesn't work in an assembly. the hook grove freature isn't available in it.
Unbelievable how slow and tedious this process is. Solidworks is certainly not a software design for speed.
You saved my day! Appreciate it!
The video freezes at 1:51 until 3:41. This is the second video in a row that this is happening - you need to do better.
I find this series very useful ! Thank you !
Thanks

Thanks for the video
Our pleasure!
The video freezes at 0:21 until 1:36. Half of the lesson is lost.
Sorry for this video has corrupt
The [alternate edge] option in the command manager is very very critical. This tutorial example is poor. A better example would have square opening on the top. Forcing multiple edge selection. Then try the ruled edges on the inside of the square opening. You would find: a.) Edge selection is "tricky" i.) You must typically select one edge at a time. ii.) However, "try right click" b.) When click [alternate edge] make sure "all edges" in the "selection box" is highlighted/dark. i.) The interface usually only highlights/darkens on selected edge at a time. ii.) However, try "shift select" in the selection box. c.) If you are doing ruled edge "again" on the same edge you just created. Good luck: i.) [alternate edge] does not work. Even if you knit those surfaces. ii.) Of course, if you think about it there is not [alternate edge] that exists now. Right? So, just use [normal to surface] option in the command. Most beginners, or even an advanced user in a "rush" can easily make mistakes that require over/over entry and execution. Relax take your time, zoom into your screen, read the left tree area carefully, and make slow/careful mouse clicks. That's advice to myself. Ha!!! Hope this can help others, too.
Thanks for your valuable feedback, Will be improved
This video stops halfway through unfortunately because it was useful.
How can I help you
the video is corrupted from 1:55 and after.@@solidworkstraining4492

Just to be clear the solidwork command is MOVE COMPONENT. Inside that command is where you will find an (option) to check for collision detection!!! So, if you are looking for dynamic clearance or collision detection there is no such command. If those functions are so important why are they "hidden" under an easily forgettable and unused command such as MOVE COMPONENT? Seriously
You mean interference detection
NO. You need to read my comment above.
good Job!👍
good tutorial. Easy to follow and well explained. 👍
Good job 👍
