The new distributor now points to the area that was originally correct with distributors from the factory. You’re good. Your old distributor, which looks like a replacement SVDA distributor, pointed to what originally was around the #2 cylinder position. The SVDA distributors are good at providing a smooth transition off idle with the vacuum advance, after which the mechanical advance portion takes over. SVDA: Single Vacuum Dual Advance.

Eric yes. At low ISO, you are not able to see in the image. I set the camera to high ISO so that I’m able to see and I am able to pick the beginning and endpoint. If I shoot that so that it would just be White. Thanks for asking.

iso 51200 is just for the subject to be hightlight while settings, right? You don't shoot at 51200 your stack , do you? nice final image ;)

@WolfsRaven - thanks for the comment. All insects react differently. Beetles under 5 mm don’t work well. Spiders tend to collapse and don’t hold a pose. Larger insects also tend to collapse if the pressure is too high. I am still experimenting with the box. And will do a better video soon.

Did you ever fix the problem? Did you pull the distributor out and move it over one notch and slid it back in so that it would line up?

Hi, mmh for the presentation for RUclips seems to be a complete mess, I have started extreme makro photos also with normal flash lights but it is hard to place them into a right position. I suggest also to make with black tape a hood for the microscope lens and paint the front with around the lens which is chrome with black paint... that would may limit the reflection of against light into the lens wich is probably not coated for this. That may reduce the photo shop work

Great video update. I’ve been playing with my Cognysis rail. Mine for some reason doesn’t show the time remaining just the amount of photos being taken. I think I’ll have to call and ask how to see that information. I’m really enjoying the bellows. I’ll get brave soon and look at getting a microscope objective. I’ll have to see what parts I’ll need. Thanks for doing this video. I just bought a Stackshot. I’m looking forward to using it. I’m a Nikon shooter, I wish they made the lens you are using. I bought a Nikon bellows to achieve the same effect. I’ll look to see if you have other videos. Thanks!

Richard I don’t use first curtain and I shoot RAW. I hope this helps. For this set up first curtain is not needed
