How to make a static action(DeWalt) table saw blade clock
Well the test was kinda pointless. Maybe do 50 to 100 cuts. See how each performs. Ideally someone such as yourself who knows how to use a tablesaw wouldn't have many if any burn marks with a clean blade nor a clean, waxed blade. Expand on the testing and show a part 2 maybe
Sir, firstly thank you for being objective about this video. Too many times do people rant with little to no consideration. I would love to re-engage this with multiple cuts; however, on a retiree’s wallet that is not going to happen. Thank you for the comment and view, i hope to see you soon.
Got one from Amazon a couple of years back….still boxed, unused as yet😂
Thanks for the view. Sounds like yours is doing better than mine as mine took a tumble and sits in a dusty corner waiting for my return…
P.s. no wood glue either,lol
Don't have toothpicks,sander or a drill,no help
So sorry to hear that. You can use PVA glue but there needs to be some kind of stock to fill the void for the screw to grab onto.
Thank you for that information on the website. It will help a lot in future projects. Nice job bi the way
Thank you so much, yes that website took out a ton of trial and error.
My 1/4 inch plywood fit very loosely in the 1/4 grove due to the fact that quarter is plywood is no longer quarter inch. What can I do to prevent it from shaking when I assemble my door or my kitchen cabinet?
Hello and sorry for the late response. I have used both hot glue and wood glue to help. Another thing to look at is using a different flute router bit for the groove or make them with a table saw. Not sure if you have viewed this or not, but here is a discussion on this topic that may give you some ideas forums.woodnet.net/showthread.php?tid=7085200.
What kind of glue?
Hello, wood glue is what I used in the video; however, any PVA glue will work, it just may take longer drying time. Please let me know if you need anything else…
Woodworking's equivalent to a vertical milling machine!
Thank you for the comment. Great point, I never thought of that.
Highly excellent presentation!
Thank you so much, I always struggle with how much or how little to put in to make it effective.
@@CleverWoodworks There will always be some lousy bastard who has something nasty to say so don't base your output quality on that. You could figure out a method to effectively teach a monkey to build a space ship in thirty seconds and some broke down bloke will find fault with it. Well done sir.
Well put and thank you for the kind words. They are most appreciated.
Very poor presentation
I am so sorry that this was a poor presentation. I am to hope that you found some aspects useful; moreover, thank you for your feedback.
Maybe a piece of plexiglas instead of multiplex, so you can look at what you are doing. Or maybe a see-through hole of plexiglas around the router. Also for dust collection there are add-ons for the router. Great vid, thanks !
Thank you so much for your comment sir. I have thought about multiplex; however, as I don’t use it that much and the thickness I do use is only 6mm, it wouldn’t be a good fit for this. But the spy hole and definitely the dust collection would be a good idea.
Wow! this is a great idea until I save up for more tools. Thank you.
thank you so much for your kind words. glad you found it useful and hope it serves you well.
👍😀
Thank you, glad I can help out.
That’s a good video. Short and to the point.
Thank you, glad you liked it.
Birds do not require perches. Predators, however, do ... Additionally, you must provide drainage holes in the bottom and ventilation holes at the top, probably under the eaves. Finally, you must provide for annual cleanout. Suggestion: screws on one side (NO glue) for panel removal at cleanout time ...
Thanks for the feedback
Nice version of the router base.
Thank you, glad you found it useful.
I wax main to avoid kick back or blowback.
interesting, I would have had no idea of that.
@@CleverWoodworks in my early years I wouldn't wax my saw blade n the saw would give a lot of kickback, and when your straight lining, those shaving would be like spears being thrown at you, and theirs blowback its almost like a grenade being blown in your face. But once I started waxing my saw blade it's all stopped.
We recently lumbered a 36" maple, a 36" white ash, and a 32" pecan. After drying, we tried planing with a Rigid (Home Depot) 13" planer with 2 HSS knives ruclips.net/user/postUgkxIzvvTi3_Qc8JnVdYYRJCvuoDC4QjTzeL . This job was clearly too much for that machine. The pecan was particularly difficult, due to heavy mineral deposits, and a sharp pair of HSS knives would be consumed by a mere 3 boards. We were also having lots of problems from chip bruising, due to poor dust collection. The shavings came off like straw and jammed in the 4" hose.We bought the DW735 simply to be able to run carbide blades, which worked brilliantly for the pecan. However, we found it to be a much, MUCH nicer machine. It was far more rigid than the "Rigid" planer, and far more accurate as well. But what I liked most about it was the dust feed. This machine has its own blower, which shreds the "straw" like shavings as they come off the cutting head and helps boost the shavings into the dust collection system. No more clogs! It's also nicely sealed so that the internals stay quite clean. This is just a well tempered machine that's a delight to use. It literally cut the labor in half. Just another example of getting what you pay for.
Thank you, just need to find another use for that grease.
I always see T&G done with a table router, can it be done with a plunge router?
I suppose it could be done; however, you would sacrifice consistency and moreover safety. If I didn’t have a table I would probably grab a small sheet of plywood to act as a makeshift table.
Excellent video.
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed the video.
Yup, I was working on my '57 Gibson and snapped off all but one screwhead right down to the body. Got a brass tube slightly smaller than the screw thread diameter, filed some teeth at the end of the tubing and started drilling counterclockwise. After drilling about 1/8" down the broken screw(s) extracted themselves, leaving me 5/32" holes to plug. I still can't believe how well that worked. Thanks!
Wow, I think that this has to be one of the coolest comments I have ever received. Never in a million years would I have thought that this would of made a repair on something like this. Thank you for sharing, it was really nice to hear.
Looks very dangerous to me. A good video for what not to do
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the view
Amazing work !
Thank you so much, glad you liked it.
I used your drill trick and it worked like a charm. Thanks for posting this, was very helpful 🙂
Thank you, always happy to help.
Tried this and the screw just twisted and broke instead of coming out, now the screw is below the level of the wood. Thanks so much
Sorry to hear that
I like this! Thanks.
Thank you too, glad you like it.
Great job. Thank you! Keep it up please!
Thank you so much as well, without viewers like you it doesn’t happen.
100% sound like nic cage
Thank you so much, perhaps I can find a way to make a woodworking nic cage video one of these days…
Im only watching this because my husband is a carpenter and Im trying to learn more about what he does (he mentioned not having a planer the other day). This video was so simple to follow and informative. So now I know what he is trying to make! Mahalo nui, from Maui!!
Mahalo iā ʻoe, mahalo nui ʻia ʻoe. thank you, hope Google translate didn’t mess it up. Always glad to be of assistance to others especially when it comes to enabling our significant others to allow us to get more toys…
Duh! Why have I never thought of this?
Thank you for the comment and view. just glad to be of assistance…
so smart
Thank you and glad you enjoyed , please take care.
Hello my dear friend. You are practical and objective. A great birdhouse with a few tools. I appreciate your ideas. Nice video. I wish 2023 to bring you health and happiness. All the best. Your friend Mehmet
Thank you sir, please take care and see you soon.
Very sorry to hear about your sister Sir. Our thoughts are with you.
Thank you, much appreciated. Just trying to do some good with this.
You're doing a great job my friend! 😊🌎✨
Thank you very much for your compliment, I’m glad you enjoyed.
learned some new tools, thanks; volume control (gets way too loud when drilling) needs some tweaking otherwise nice job
Thank you so much for the compliment and sorry for the volume issues.
hot glue gun is brilliant for all sorts
Yes sir, I agree. Just sometimes it works too good…
I’m looking forward something that has a nice matte finish that is quick drying for my avocado seed carvings. What would you recommend?
Hello and thank you for this opportunity. I never even knew this existed so I’m going to try this the best I can. I would try and ignore finishing that use steel wool as they tend to leave debris ridged/ornate surfaces. Now with that being stated here is a web link to something that I think might help you out. Please let me know if I can help any further…. www.rockler.com/learn/matte-finishing-techniques
This is very helpful! Thank you! Question, before you used the plug cutter how did you prep the area around the screw? Or another way to ask a question is it difficult to get the plug cutter centered when first starting to cut around the screw? Thank you! - love this idea to use plug cutter - Much quicker and easier to find than the hollow screw extractor and more affordable!!
Thank you for the kind words. I’m going to take it that you either have some sort of upheaval, or you are working in an area where a cove/ogre bit has been through. Getting as much surface area for balance is the name of the game here. if it’s upheaval than just file the edges down for a smooth square surface and if your operation is on a curve try to keep that screw cantered as much as possible while keeping the plug cutter on as much material so you maintain control. Please let me know if I may be of any further help…
too bad home depot doesn't have a community planer. they cut boards for you, and planks, but no planer.. :(
Love it. Have you any advice for the same only for wee fiddly screws? I’ve a stair bannister bracket where it’s fixed to the wall ok but where it’s fixed to the bannister one of the two screws has a broken head and the bannister is wobbly.
Thank you so much. it’s hard to say without being there; however, I would say to use a plug cutter and replace the hole with a plug or dowel. another option I thought of is to move the rail up or dow half an inch or so to avoid the previous holes. Hope this helps you out…
Can you do this with a trim router?
Yes you most certainly can. just make sure it’s secured to the board. thank you and take care.
Thank you for this video. Awesome techniques. I imagine this would help many people doing renovation.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I’m am more than happy that this is helping others out with their projects. Take care and thanks again…
This is just what I needed. Thanks!

Thank you, glad I can help and make an impression.
Brilliant, just what I'm looking for. Thanks 👍
Great stuff, always happy to help out.
Will this method get the bow out of long board, like for a door?
Hello, yes it is possible to remove the bow on a door, you just need a flat surface to operate on. there are also other methods of removing a bow from a door like www.doorstop.com.au/blog/why-do-some-doors-warp-or-bow. hope this helps…
Hello my friend, A wonderful wooden planter box. good job. congratulations. Thank you for sharing the details. see you later. All the best. (Also thanks for the language support)
Thank you so much friend. No problem on the language, just hope it translates correct.
I'm only 16 and a beginner to the wood working stuff and this video is actually smart and I actually like this idea, thank you for making this a video. I learn something today
Thank you so much. Comment’s like this make it all worthwhile, just remember to always take your time and consider follow through. please take care.
Absolutely perfect. I’ve been going nuts trying to figure out how to do this without buying any more equipment. Thank you
Always grateful to help out, please take care.
Same. I needed this like a hole in the head trying to understand how to make this work. Problem with my situation is that I’m dealing with prepurchased lumber which I milled down down to 3” improperly. Now I’m dealing with twists and bows. Shall be interesting without the heavy lifters. But a couple jigs should do the trick. This one and a table saw straight edge notched to one blade width thick to about 3/4 down the board. A few passes and a few flips, should get me down to about 2”🤣. Live and learn. Am I right or am I right?
Nice work!
Thank you so much
