Is it pretty stable my friend?
How tall are you? Im 5foot9 or 172cm would I reach the ground on both feet? (And is it dumb to lower it?)
I’m 5’11 1/2 and at a light, I am almost flat footed. I’m not familiar with the pros and cons of lowering it. But at 5’9 you should look into it
@faroerides7851 - I'm 5'8" with a 30" inseam. I am on the balls of my feet when stopped and comfortably 1- leg it. Speaking with my local Aprilia guys, they said that nearly everyone who has lowered theirs has come back to have it brought to back to factory spec.
@@robhuff1190 thanks 🙏
So glad to see that BMW decided to change the handle bar and riser’s. I have the 2022 R1250RT. I bought it used with less than 10k km on it. Previous owner had theBMW risers installed and just cannot get it adjusted to comfort from or myself. Of course you need a special, expensive, tool to remove the risers.
@@gillesklr650 yes, clones with the triple black edition and the engine guards and upgraded wheels.
Yea, run road. Looks like just transfer. The bra protected it
If it is just transfer, a mild clay bar kit will get it off with ease and you can hand wax the area afterwards. No need for machine work if it is indeed only transfer.
i need to get up to that area AFTER the heatwave and before winter sets in. What is the extent of the "damage" to your daughter's car? Scratches or just some transfer?
I cannot abide slow over takers.! I see you have them as well. The requirement in the UK is to overtake safely and complete the manoeuvre as quickly as possible and move over into the slower lanes, too many do neither. Appreciate the ride. By the way when you said early I thought 6am!
Glad to hear that you believe in wearing the right gear.
I’m developing a completely new appreciation for the capability of this machine!
❤
As usual a lovely ride round California. Definitely envious of the roads.
Really enjoyed that. I live in the UK and I wish we had roads like yours. Stay safe as I know you will.
Wow! That was fun. Definitely not a bike for slow coaches. And it's marketed as a tourer.
I see you are wearing zero arm protection if you go down you are losing skun
NO cops???? I got a speeding ticket this may in my s2000
Nice location and nice bike. how do you feel the bike after one year
Great video ! I own a RT and I wish I could ride it 1/2 as good as that !
I have a R1100RT that I absolutely love. I’m going to get a 1250 when I finish school.
Re-watching this video and you where remarking on the windshield and the down pressure on your helmet. On my Harley I had I used a KLOCK WERKS windshield that has a flip on top and it worked great. Just found out they make one for the RT as well and just wanted to pass on the information. If you go to their website you will find a couple of real owners pictures.
@@ericjames7680 thanks for the info! I’m gonna check them out
Certain sport touring bikes are better than those crotch rockets. The problem with the crotch rockets is the fact that the tanks are small and you can only ride them for so long before you have to take a break. I can ride my FJR1300 for hours and up to 130 mph, I can do anything the smaller sport bikes can do.
@@freedomisntfree131 agreed!
@@mr.stickyfingers3189 I wish I would have got a sport touring bike sooner than I did.
Look at an FJR 1300!
Sports bike passed Rt,like he was standing still
My RT is going to be here soon. Got this the other day from the dealer. Glad I am getting the last of the 2024 models, the 2025 Spy Shots model does not look so good to me. Looks like your bike is in the US at the Port of NY and we await de-containing, US customs, shipping to BMW HQ in New Jersey soon. You may want to keep an extra CR 2032 battery for the key fob in your glove box just in case you need it.
@@ericjames7680 thanks! Yea, interesting look for the 2025s
Laguna Seca!!! No wonder no golf😂, ride safe buddy!
That and Monterey is a way better place to be than Eastlake 😂
@@mr.stickyfingers3189 lmao, so true!
Fantastic road for riding. Where is that?
Pro Italia... my home away from home!lol!
I have the same bike, 2023, best bike for me (I’ve had 3 so I guess I’d better like it!) Fun to watch but agree with others, this is rude, reckless riding. Ok for the track, not the street at those speeds/passing on double yellow.
Yeah, I loved my RT (same as yours, Triple Black). It has the similar rake and trail numbers as a sports bike and very smooth with the Telelever front suspension and drive shaft, but I rode a Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak and it ruined me. Sold the RT and bought the Pikes Peak. Stay safe
Oh great! Another RT video and its part 1!!! Also I thought by the nice sound of the exhaust you had installed another muffler on but I see it is stock, I think? Something I remembered you saying months ago when you took out the RT for a test ride was to replace the muffler.
@@ericjames7680 yea, I never did. It sounds fine with the stock. My Ducati and Aprilia are loud enough, I’ll leave the RT as is
I love the mix of content bro! Keep it up. Looking forward to our Laguna trip next weekend!
@@CALI_750 thanks bro. Yea, Laguna Seca will be epic
Like many RT riders I’d riddenJap and Italian sports bikes for 30 + years until my mid 50’s when I simply couldn’t comfortably ride one for more than a few hours at a time. I still wanted a bike that could carve a decent back road so brought my first RT 6 years ago and there simply a revelation I’m 60 yo now. I’ve Taken all the luggage of my RT added a Akropovic mostly for the sound it’s no sports bike but for public roads it’s far more capable than it’s given credit for ....
you have great sound in your helmet. how do I mount my mic like that? Great Video!!!!
@@sekaf4125 I use a panda mic and a mic adapter watched to my Insta 360 ace pro. I’m also using a cat or wind noise muffle over the mic. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

lol fastlaneD got you hard for the MV
@@greaseman4174 who’s that?
Absolutely amazing bike, I just hope you don't face the reliability issues they are plagued with... I did with my KTM and I'm scared of european bikes now...
@@VMAdventures88 I have a Ducati V4SP. No reliability issues, but very expensive to maintain. Thanks for watching
@@mr.stickyfingers3189 Ducatis seem to be more reliable now. Wish you all the best.
Oh man! I thought you were trading in the RT! Had me worried for a moment. Mine should be here next month! Looks like you are doing some great lane splitting even with the side bags on. I measured my BMW 1250 GSA'S widest point at 38.6'' and it is at the hand guards. Just about the same width as the RT at 38.8'' with bags on. I split lanes fine.
@@ericjames7680 definitely keeping my RT. It is the perfect combination of comfort and aggressive style riding. Congratulations again on your purchase
Damn those are some third world country roads lmao, pls be safe
Great video Brian. I admire your courage riding down there to Santa Monica.
For $50k it better have a loud horn that’s all I gotta say. 😂
@@CALI_750 right! 😂
YEEEAH now thas a great way to start the video the . All hail the NUTERAL 🤣🤣
😂
WTF are you doing parked in a handicap zone???
We had to pass too many people that day, cars and bikes. But still was a decent ride. 🙌🏼
Great video I’ve never been on that road. I’m gonna try it one day during the week.
Let me know, I’ll take my BMW
😊
Footage looks sick bro! Awesome places.
How long have you been riding?
One of my favorites! Thanks for the post!
So what's 0 to 60?
La bulle à mi hauteur de l'image nuit énormément à la qualité de la vidéo car elle coup l'image en permanence. C'est très desagreable6
I’m trading my Pan America Special for a 2024 1250 RT!
Good move. You are going to love it!
