These will never replace a surface drive. Another overhyped product. But it’s a cool design nonetheless for fishing in murky water.
I want to know if that freedom thing can actually take a beating on stumps and logs and whatnot like the gatortails and mud buddys can me and my buddies have owned basically every brand of mud motor

How tall is the rouge 20 with t top? Ground to highest point of the t top. Doesn't appear to have an option to lower for indoor storage.

I’m not understanding how it’s a closed loop…there appears to be hoses attached to the cavitation plate that draws water.
It's a radiator like a car or snowmobile. It's not drawing lake water.

Man that thing will transfer 200% of the sound through the hull i to the water no rubber or any form of seal on those lids. No gas struts on the lids, walmart trolling motor….. love the look and the design, the sea deck is awesome, top speed is perfect…. but just like skeeters zx series yamaha is pinching pennies big time.

Im still about 2 years from rotating out of my current rig. I appreciate the offer, when the time come my hayseed butt might cruise on up to yall. Definitely not trying to bash. Xpress has proved to be top tier in the tin world. I know the hull and hard parts will last for longer than most glass rigs. Any way thanks for the reply brother. Be safe.

@@chevyon37s haha I was wandering if anyone would catch that. It does have a water pump but its a closed system unlike anyother outboard on the market

Yes most definitely do a side by side comparison between these motors. I would LOVE to see the Freedom Outboard in the muck. I want to see if it can handle what surface drives can handle

Apparently you can use regular automotive coolant in the loop with antifreeze so if your motor has frozen coolant the truck you're towing it to the ramp with probably will too
too damn cool!!!
Tell them to build hulls for these that have tunnels so you can run with the skeg above the bottom of the hull. Now you don't need to worry about the lower unit hitting things, the cooling is taken care of, big victory for all.

@@dannyleach6232 yes, if you run the prop shaft even or slightly higher then the bottom of the hull doesn’t seem like the cooling system would be efficient at full throttle . Maybe the prop spray would be enough.
@@brucehill1220it’s not cooling from the prop. It’s a closed loop. It has a radiator and coolant reservoir.
@@bsdh01 correct. I’m talking about water coming off the prop once the radiator plate is above the water once the boat is on plane if the motor is mounted high
