its a waste of time with these.
In episode 17 we actually find a key date 50-D in circulation. Some collectors and hunters search their entire lives and never find one. I’ve actually made several thousand dollars from coin roll hunting. And, I enjoy it. So what is a waste of time for some is an enjoyable hobby for others. At the end of the day some folks spend thousands on their hobbies and have nothing to really show for it when it’s over. At least I have something of value. And as my wife says, at least I’m not out gambling and drinking our money away. Thanks for watching.

Totally agree that the older US coin designs are the greatest of the modern age 👍
I really like your channel , I live in Perth . Yes we have an awesome mint but man the actual few coin shops we have here can be real scammy . Ex there is a coin shop that sells Ten 90% circulated half dollars $550 AUS that’s about $37 US per coin , another coin shop near the Perth Mint wanted $60 AUS for one heavily circulated common date Franklin half that’s just an example of the crap they try and pull over here . I understand there are overheads but ripping people off on both ends of the deal really has hurt serious coin collecting in Australia. True facts 👍
Thank you for your kind words. It’s sad that there are unscrupulous dealers in the business that give the hobby such a bad reputation. I’ve meet and known some great people and dealers and have also ran into some real jerks too. I guess people are the same everywhere you go.

Franklin halfs are better than the Kennedy Half for sure. But the Walker is the standard.

The walkers are my favorite but I do like the reverse side of the Franklin half dollar. Actually if I was to rank each side of every silver US coin ever minted the reverse of the Franklin half would rank pretty high. The reverse of the Kennedy half is a gaudy monstrosity I would put at the bottom.
The Liberty Bell reverse is definitely better than the Kennedy reverse for sure. I’ll never forget an old man in a coin shop years ago telling me, “I don’t like dead presidents on my coins.” Of course we know Franklin was never president but the point stands.
