No professional teams in Oregon? What about the Timbers & Trailblazers?
Ahhh I completely overlooked Trailblazers and Timbers
Thanks for sharing the update! How has the availability been looking lately (since that also plays a role)?
The last few weeks we have been seeing roughly 400 active homes
👍
Home of the essential craftsman
Yes, there are 150 days of at least some rain. However, if one has a flexible schedule and a close eye on the skies, *most* of those days have a couple of hours when the sun peeks through -- enough time for a walk/run/bike or some smaller outdoor tasks. And the broken, rolling clouds with sunshine are a uniquely beautiful Northwest sight. But take your rain jacket.
Absolutely! A little rain doesn't have to ruin your outdoor plans. Embracing those sunny moments is what makes Roseburg so special!
What’s your favorite part about Roseburg-or what do you hope to find here?
Usa. How to get in dept
Thanks for your comment. Real estate can involve debt, but when managed wisely, it’s a tool for building long-term wealth through equity and appreciation. If you’re curious about strategies to avoid risky debt, let me know!
If you like the damp, rain, fine. Me, I didn’t grow up on that. So, I can’t stand it. Your response is typical of someone who likes the gray and damp and doesn’t understand why everyone doesn’t feel the same. I grew where it rained and the clouds and gray moved on, back to blue skies. Compared to the rain and gray staying for weeks at a time, with the occasional 1/2 day break. Yuk.
I totally understand where you're coming from! Your right I do like the damp winters and the sunny summers. I try to show all sides of living here, from the charm of rainy days to the beautiful breaks of sunshine that brighten everything up. But I get that some people would rather trade that for consistent blue skies and sunnier days-totally fair! Thanks again for commenting-it’s great to hear your perspective! 🌤️
Looks like Wisconsin but half the cost and crime.
And without the extreme winters
I would like to live there fore many reasons, but I won't unless the state becomes conservative with their legal issue's like reducing crime, and their politics as well as small farms and in respect for the 2nd amendment.
I totally understand your concerns! It’s important to feel comfortable with the environment you live in. Where are you now? Are the values better there?
@@sellwithnorman Nope. zyjru no longer are and we are looking for a better area.
I lived there when I was in middle school. I stayed in the south umpqua Inn for a long time. Also worked at Dairy Queen. Do they still have the South County market? A friend of mine and his family owned a place called digital magic. all the teenagers in town used to hang out there and play video games. I had a lot of fun in that town.
It's awesome to hear about your memories from middle school! The Dairy queen is now Tommy's and South County Market is not here any more. Sounds like you realy liked it where are you now?
@ Tri-Cities, Washington , one of my best times as a kid was in Myrtle Creek. It was almost like the movie sandlot kind of childhood!
There are people who like Roseburg, and people who don't. Both groups give the same reasons! That's all good for everybody.
It's interesting how opinions can be so similar yet lead to such different conclusions! Funny how perspectives makes discussions all the more engaging.
I’m an old school local. What’s really ruining Roseburg is the flood of transplants. The infrastructure is not designed the bs influx. The gentrification is horrifying. Bar Run a prime example. Big no.
First mistake: being born in a generation where owning a house isn't a feasible option.
It's definitely a challenge for many in your generation. But there are some programs to help.
Great video. Very informative!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Terrific information communicated in a way that wasn't overly complicated to understand. First time home buying is definitely a process but this video gives you realistic expectations on what you should expect. Get your pen out. Taking notes seems silly but trust me there's a great deal of tips you want to remember.
I'm glad you found the information helpful! This is just the important tips for your home buying journey. Let me know if you have any questions!

Theres more than 2 in roseburg.....valley view mhp is all ages and only 525 a month
You're absolutely right! There are many MHP but they all have a space rent that has yearly increases.
Thanks Jerry! You just reconfirmed what I thought about mobile homes. I will now stop looking at them completely! Thanks for bringing me back to my common senses!😂
I'm glad I could help you clarify your thoughts about mobile homes! It's always good to have options though.
It does get wet here but I’ll take rain over snow any day 🌧️
I totally agree - rain definitely beats snow! 🌧️ What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day here?
I have 2 small dogs that walk me daily but when there’s no break in the rain, we usually go somewhere dog friendly that’s out of the rain.
Great intro!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! It’s always fun to kick things off with a bang.😆
Thanks for the knowledge 👍

Hi Jerry! Wondering what the price range for homes in Laurelwood are? Thanks😊
Today there is not any homes on the market in this neighborhood but there is one pending with a list price of $350k and in the last year 4 have sold with an average price of 475k
The only time an out of state transplant has a problem in Oregon, is when they're from California. 😀
Hey, thanks for commenting! I’ve worked with a lot of people relocating from California to Roseburg, and they’ve all fallen in love with the area. Many were able to sell their homes in California for much more than they originally paid and move here to enjoy bigger homes, quieter neighborhoods, and uncrowded stores. It’s a big win for them, and it’s awesome to see how happy they are after making the move. Thank you I love myrtle creek edpecially the art community.
Thank you! Myrtle Creek really is a gem, and the art community is a big part of that. Have you visited the glassblowing studio or Eternity Road Arts? I’m saving up to move to coos bay from etx just curious about apartments or rent houses there and are they nice
Hi! Thanks for your comment. While I don’t handle rentals, I recommend checking with local property management companies for safe options. Be careful with Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace-there are some scams to watch out for. By the way, what’s drawing you to Coos Bay all the way from Texas?
@@sellwithnorman just want a change of scenery I’ve been in Texas all my life lol even though it’s only 26yrs but Texas will always be home so if I didn’t end up liking it in Oregon I can always come back but Oregons beauty is what makes me want to move the most
Great information
I'm glad you found the information helpful! Your feedback means a lot to me.
I think prices will go way down in fl..listings and foreclosures are up ! insurance rates will do also
It's definitely a challenging market right now, and it will be interesting to see how everything unfolds.
It’s going to crash so the the hedge funds can buy in the cheap but then will go back up . That’s what they are doing with the crypto markets
Hey, thanks for your comment! I’m curious about your thoughts-how do you think hedge funds are going to cause the housing market to crash? It’s an interesting idea, especially considering their influence in other markets. I'd love to hear more of your insights! If you haven’t yet, feel free to subscribe and turn on notifications for future discussions. Thanks again!
@@sellwithnorman hedge funds are not going to cause it . They are just waiting in the wings waiting to buy up even more . Black rock , state street and vanguard . The private bank called Federal Reserve is causing it on purpose
What about wildfires and smoke in and around Roseburg?
Hi, great question! The smoke in Roseburg is often comparable to Eugene during wildfire season-it really depends on where the fires are and how the wind is blowing that particular year. Sometimes Roseburg might get more smoke, other times Eugene, but it's all about the wind patterns and fire location. Fortunately, both areas have reliable air quality monitoring to help everyone stay informed. Thanks for watching-don’t forget to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications!
Please dont listen to a real estate agent about buying a home. He is desperate to get you to make a foolish decision, so he can make a buck. There is a balance sheet depression coming, where the unsustainable debt bubble pops and people who are leveraged get their butts kicked. Dont be one of those people. Invest in your own productivity and learn to make money even through a downturn in investments. That is the only way to come out ahead. Why did home prices go up for decades? 1) Dual incomes - as households moved from one to two incomes, it meant people could afford more and prices went up. that trend is maxed out and gone 2) Baby boom - this demographic meant more demand for homes, now they are retiring and dying and there will be more sales, less buyers 3) Lower interest rates - there was a 30 year boom in the bond market (which means lower interest rates) that drove home prices up. that trend is dead. There is no reason home prices will continue to remain in a bubble. When you factor in all the interest you pay for a home, it is actually smarter to look at the differential between rental cost and costs of home ownership. If it is much cheaper to rent, then rent and put the difference into investments.
You make some really valid points about the current housing market and the factors at play. It's important for buyers to do their research and understand the long-term implications of their investments. But the one thing is I am not desprate for you or anyone to make a bad decision in fact it does not matter to me if you buy a home or not. I am just trying to give advice and the best way to gain wealth is through Real Estate and using passive income through real estate.
Crazy how I was looking for a point of this video since there was bunch of random info thrown in here with no substance. but it came at 8 min mark 😅
What do you think - is waiting for a housing market crash a smart strategy or are there better options out there? Let me know in the comments!
I do not know how I found your channel but I'm so glad I did. The details are helping me!
I'm so glad to hear that my videos are helping you! Are you moving to Oregon?
@@sellwithnorman I replied to the wrong area on here previously LOL what is the best email address to reach you? That is my preference versus communicating on RUclips. Thank you.
Jerry@sellwithnorman.com
👍
Thanks a ton! Glad you liked it! 🙌
Nicely put 👍👍
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback and glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for all the valuable information, it sure helps when considering a move to the area. I myself am not a thrill seeker, but I do love gardening, festivals, farmer's markets, community events - so having a craft supply stores, garden centers, decent medical, home improvements centers, are a thumbs up for me. Some small town don't have enough "trade workers" aka contractors to do home repairs - this problem isn't addressed in most real estate videos unfortunately.
I'm glad to hear the information was helpful! It sounds like you have a great plan for finding a community that fits your lifestyle. Gardening and local events can really enhance the living experience!

eugene is liberal
Yeah, Eugene has that vibe because of the university. Have you spent much time there?
As a 26 yr resident of Eugene, don’t move here. It’s a zombie apocalypse sadly. 🙁
It's definitely interesting to hear your perspective.
100% agreed. Its gross and unsafe.
Considering a move to Oregon? Drop your questions below, and I’ll make sure to answer them!
Myrtle creek actually sucks
Myrtle Creek definitely has its ups and downs.
Thinking about moving to Roseburg? What’s your biggest concern about relocating here? Drop your questions below, and I’ll be sure to answer them!
The problem with Sutherlin is that there are no good grocery stores. The one there is nick-named 'Shop Dumb'. You'll need to drive to Roseburg often if you live in Sutherlin if you don't want to pay double for groceries and that gas money adds up. Just something to keep in mind.
You're absolutely right! With the more people moving to sutherlin the lack of groceries stores is a problem. Hopefully, more options come to Sutherlin in the future!
Roseburg is a dirty toilet bowl.
It sounds like you’re not a fan of Roseburg! What specifically do you think needs improvement?
Seems like an honest review especially with the wildfire smoke these days. The similar Bend OR type of videos never mention the poor summer air quality over there, for some reason.
Totally get you on that! It's wild how some videos just gloss over the smoke and don't bring everything to light. Thanks for the compliment!
Thank you so much, very informative video!
Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad you found the video informative. Is there anything you’d like me to cover in future videos? Your feedback means a lot!
