❤ 1970 growing up in Downey California. My asian brothers. 6th grad to 9th grade meet Calvin Chung we shared our food and culture , there was no Mexicano and Chinese food in schools. We sold our food to teacher and students. 1985 to 1995. Practice with Oden Judo 1995 to 2004. Was introduced with letter to Mas Shoji. Aikido Martial arrtist. I learned so much from him, he was from Hawaii. I remember asking him is thee racism in Hawaii? He , told me stories of Hawaii, if you weren’t white, you were not allowed into there restaurants , stores or cities. he worked on Helo , he worked on sugar crane . It was Japanese, Chinese, korean Filipino and purtureges Wow, I didnt know. He passed in 2004. He was a 100/442 Japanese American Soldier “ Go For BRoke.’ He never talked of his service, I know that when I did wrong, he would call me Budhahead. He kept me on the right track.
