Where did you find this footage, this is awesome!
Thomas W. Cahill did not grow up in the Kerry Patch. His Washington Ave address is south of what was the Kerry Patch.
Thomas W. Cahill did not attend St. Louis University. There is no record of him being enrolled.
Thomas W, Cahill was not the same person as Tom "Bullets" Cahill. this is a false equivalence.

It’s crazy how the first ever World Cup we got 3rd place but since then we haven’t done much we’re on the comeback tho great young talent
Well American football back then didn’t exist. So soccer was the main sport in the USA. Once American football came in 1960, soccer popularity started to die down.
Thank you gentlemen. From my mom, my sister and myself. Nancy, Coni, Alex
Really enjoyed this, very fascinating 👍
Great book and interview, thank you
71?
Wow. Very well researched. I hope rugby in America can have something like this one day.
Historic images!
Heroes!
Thank you, James. Really enjoyed enjoyed the conversation and just the tip regarding Spokeo lead me to a possibly exciting lead today. I'll let you know if it pans out. I know from my past writing I can tell the story. For me it's more how do I do the research and document that which is different for me than what I've done previously. I look forward to reading the book.
Hi Brian. That's really great news about Spokeo. I'm really glad you enjoyed the talk the other day. Everyone finds their stride by hitting brickwalls and figuring out how to work around it. Enjoy the book and thanks for the support! We should have a call on Zoom or Whatsapp . Cheers...James
@@societyforamericansoccerhi7207 That would be great!
Legends!
1:32 was that legal at the time?!
Back then it was legal to charge the goalie even knocking he and the ball into the net.
𝐩𝓻Ỗ𝓂Ø𝓈M ☺️
Always wanted to see this 🙌
Is that the oldest film of the USMNT?
Oldest known footage.
Yes it is.
I've been following you for months and I think you do an incredible job. It is a real pity that you have so few subscribers because I am sure that, although little, there are still people interested in the origin and history of soccer in the United States. Something that I think would help re-launch interest in this era of American soccer, in addition to spreading the word, would be the creation of retro jerseys like the ones we have in such stores in Europe of European and international teams. I am especially very interested in the early years of soccer in the 10s and 20s of the last century when the American Soccer League was created with teams like Bethlehem Steel and Fall River Marksmen. I'll buy the book for Christmas for sure! Greetings from Madrid, Spain! 🇪🇸👋
Love Joe M.
Thanks for this incredible information. I hope this inspires more black americans to get more involved in the game.
Thank you for this program and the societies work.⚽️🇺🇸🍺
Thank you for this program.
Very happy 😍💋 💝💖♥️❤️
Charging the goalkeeper, thankfully gone from football.
I think Univ of South Carolina owns the copyright to huge archive of old videos somehow even though the footage is so old. A channel I follow that does some colorization and video enhancement using AI posted recently that USC was playing hardball enforcing their rights over some of his content.
damn. that dude laid out that poor GK
Beatiful quality footage! Thanks for sharing!
I love american soccer history.
Dude absolutely smashed that keeper into the post!
Right? 0:57, what’s happening there?!?
WOW! in the middle of WW1
Wow! This is really cool. Guessing the USMNT was in the hoops jersey?
No, the USMNT is in the white jerseys. Tigrarna translates as "tigers," which is probably why they are wearing the striped jerseys.
In the white jerseys.
@@societyforamericansoccerhi7207 Thanks for clearing that up Tom and SASH!
Clarification: DiCicco played for Rhode Island in 1975, but he was not one of the goalkeepers on the 1974 ASL champions (that was Arnie Mausser). I know what's what Dan meant, but the phrasing could be misinterpreted.
