I’m a keen card gamer and collector that has recently gotten back into card gaming thanks to a new game called Star Wars Unlimited. Will be posting video about collecting and unboxing at first but then the galaxy is the limit.
Star Wars unlimited SOTG booster packs x12 plus a couple of OP 2 packs unboxing
So managed to pick a few packs up and a couple of Op 2 packs along with it at a local event. Still wasn’t on my pre order boxes, fingers crossed they arrive this week.

@@iainfenton4671 yes, my local has a meet up every two weeks, where we pay, get a couple of packs and just play some friendly games and practice our decks.

Has it ever been worth it for you buying individual packs as opposed to a booster box?
@@iainfenton4671 I have done that several times and filmed the openeings a couple of times, including one to be uploaded soon. From that in someways is good as you can pull something good like a showcase but booster boxes give you guaranteed legendary cards where I’ve done packs in a latest video on my channel and got no good pulls.
What position in packs are the showcase cards?
@@iainfenton4671 so the showcase are always the first card at the top in the leader position as showcases are only special rare alternative art leader cards. They haven’t done it yet with other cards but maybe in the future they might.
In my box of this set I managed to get a hyperspace foil Dryden Vos legendary

Picked up my first two boxes at a Geek Retreat in Hartlepool. I got their final box of the Rebellion set and then one of Shadows of the Galaxy. They told me they had absolutely loads of boxes of Shadow of the Galaxy.

I have seen videos on this, I think my pulls for this set have not as good. Maybe I’m not in the favour of the card gods right now! 😅
Unfortunately not surprising not seeing any Legendaries… unless you saw them open the display in front of you 😀 The packs are all mapped out so the Ls can easily be picked out from new boxes by just opening one pack 😩

@@iainfenton4671 Because all rares and legendaries follow the same pattern. So if you open first pack in a box and see what rare is in there, then you will know (not to 100% but pretty close) in what packs the legendaries will be and pick them out. Then you sell the rest dud packs as singles… so i would never buy single packs unless i see them open the box, or someone i fully trust

long time viewer, first time caller ;) American printed packs are laid out different to European; ours over here in Europe have the hyper common in the last common spot, but the US printed have it in the middle of the commons.

What were those single packs!? Very good! Buying singles is pretty bad business these days when the legendaries have been mapped out. But you hit it good!

Oh no, those were some unlucky pre-release kits. I went to 2 pre-release events and got no legendaries in first. And no good bomb rares either. And two copies of 2 leaders, limiting my options to only 4. That event was a disaster. But the second pre-release I got the darksaber and crazy good mandalorian synergy cards. That one was a blast! I hope you get booster boxes restocked soon. How come there's nothing available?
@@Kickyboots1207 it happens bud unlucky on your first event but seems you got the luck in the second, nice! 😁. So my local area has suffered from stock being shortened compared to the first set which is surprising, normally it’s the other way round. Thanks, I’m sure more stock will be available soon.

is there any value in keeping pre-release boxes sealed or is the value in the cards down the track ?
@@mosest3144 well that’s a tough question. I have debated this myself and I do not have an answer, it’s possible it could be worth a lot down the line but does the game have that value or longevity. I did save one of the first set but my wife convinced me to open it and I pulled a showcase leia 😆

Legendaries aren't guaranteed in the pre-release boxes. I got 1 in my first pre-release box and 0 in my second.
Kit pull rates were weird for us, zero in the 4 we played, 1 in a kit my buddy bought, 3 in my extra I bought 😅
@@Allelementstcg I've opened 3 pre-release boxes for Set 2 and I went 1-0-1 - the last box didn't belong to me.
My 6 packs had no decent bombs and a pretty awful selection otherwise, so pre release went terribly. On the plus side there was a showcase in there so at least I lose in style :D

your strategie for sealed play?
@@cryptobeard I didnt have one. Just kinda made it up once I opened the packs. I did bo-katan as I pulled her and a load of mandalorian cards.
We actually had only 4 Legendaries (one was a Hyperspace) in a total of 9 Prerelease packs in yesterdays Event. I also thought that it is usually at least 1 / Prerelease so it was a bit dissappointing, but cant wait to open my displays next week.
Lots of sweet pulls! So satisfying to get hyperspace and foil legendary pulls
