Do whatever you want, believe or dont believe in whatever you want but show some pride for living in the greatest country ever, the USA. My mother divorced my dad when I was two years old. My dad was an alcoholic and she just couldn’t live with it any longer. My dad was a Marine in World War II and saw some horrific things and he began to drink. She told me once that if abortion was legal, I would not be here today. She took my older brother, Mike and I to California and soon remarried and had two more sons. When I was thirteen, my little brother Scotty died at the age of seven, heart attack after visiting Disneyland. It turned out he had an enlarged heart... his heart was too big for this world. We had never gone to church, read the Bible or prayed, the only feeling I had for God was hate for taking my brother. Two weeks after my little brother died, I was sound asleep in bed when I felt a burning sensation between my legs that woke me. My stepfather was on his knees with his hand between my legs and as soon as I woke up he got up and ran out of my room. I had no idea what he was doing and at first I thought I was dreaming. But now I was wide-awake, the direction he ran out of my room was towards the kitchen and in order for him to go back to his bedroom he would have to walk by my door. So I layed there wide-awake and waited. About five minutes goes by and he walks by my door, and when he did, all the memories came back and what he did to me at the age of 3 to 5 years old. The next morning I told my mother in detail. I told her the floorplan of the home we were living in at the time, One episode was around Mother’s Day and I told her what we had bought her and where we hid it. She was floored by all the details that I spoke about when I was only three years old. She kicked him out that day after 10 years of marriage. Thank God she believed me. But now my brothers we’re very upset with me. We lost your brother and our dad. At the age of 16 my mother finally send me to go live with my real dad In Madison Wisconsin where I spent my senior year. He did not drink when I was there until I turned 18 years old. He knew I was going back to California and he got drunk. Not a pretty sight. As I’m going back to California, this was my thinking: I was going to be rich, I was going to be famous, and I was going to be powerful. I would never marry for love like my mother did twice, I would only marry if he was rich, famous and powerful. I moved to Palm Springs, lied about my age and got a job at a discotheque called Zelda’s. One day and older man with an accent came into the discotheque and he said that I should be a model. I said yeah yeah right, what do you want to drink? Two weeks later I received at Zeldas, a first class round-trip ticket to Paris for $2000 worth of travelers checks. It turns out this man with Gunther Sachs, at one time married to Brigitte Bardo and was a famous photographer. My first job was the cover a French Vogue with 14 pages inside. Literally overnight, from beans & wieners to the finish champagne and caviar. For the next six weeks, jet-setting with the most powerful and richest people in the world. The Shah of Iran, Princess Grace Kelly, just to name a few. Then I found myself with these people in Monaco during the Grand Prix. Because that’s where you go when you’re rich and famous and powerful. There was a party at the Presidente hotel And as I talk to a few people like Liza Minnelli, Chandon of Chandon champagne, So many other rich and famous and powerful. My feet finally hit the ground, I walked out into the balcony overlooking the French Riviera. As I look through the glass door at all these rich and powerful people of the world, I thought to myself, “these are the most miserable people I’ve ever met in my life”. Now what do I do. I found out in such a short time that having money and fame did not fill that void in my heart and I wanted to jump off that balcony. But instead I became an international fashion model with every cover of every magazine and paparazzi wherever I went. I was traveling the world and making a lot of money. I had fame, I had fortune, my friends envied me, my parents were proud of me but I was empty inside, world-weariness, feelings of disappointment, if not despair-the feeling that the world cannot satisfy the expectations or desires of the human heart. I drank, I did drugs, I was promiscuous… Just trying to find what it was that this world could not satisfy. I had hated who I have become, a drunk, druggie slut. I was 23 when I found out I was pregnant, the father did not want the child, my agent was upset because I was booked out for 6 months, would lose a lot of money. Everyone around me wanted me to abort. So I had an abortion...never felt good about it... but moved on. I was living in Zürich and had finally decided that I had enough. I was 24 years old and I was just tired and I hated who I had become. I decided that I was going to commit suicide. But then my agent called me and told me that JC Penny wanted to use me for their catalog and they were going to pay me a lot of money but it was in Chicago. I thought, “that’s perfect because then my body would be in America and they wouldn’t have to ship me back”. When I was 20 years old, My dad became a born-again Christian. I didn’t talk to him, just sent him a post card where ever I was. I hadn’t seen him in years. When I got to Chicago I decided to Rent-A-Car and drive to see my dad as a formal goodbye although he knew nothing that was going on inside of me. He was living in a trailer in Fontenelle Iowa and when he open the door, he was completely different. I saw a sense of peace and a sense of joy that I never saw in him before. And I ask myself, what does he know that I don’t? He’s living in a trailer in Fontenelle Iowa for goodness sake’s. He was shocked when I asked him if I can go to church with him the next day. This is the first time I was ever in church and I didn’t know what to expect. I could not tell you what the sermon was because I don’t remember but afterwords the pastor asked everyone to bow their heads in prayer and so I did. As he was praying, he said these words “have you had fame, fortune and fashion and you’re still empty inside? You need Jesus“ I could not believe my ears, how did this pastor know what I was going through when my own father didn’t know. I was afraid to stand up because I thought my dad would see what a wretched person I had become and embarrass him in front of the whole town. But I knew if I didn’t stand up I would die. This is the first time I’ve ever been to church and I did not know what to expect. Are they going to start throwing homegrown tomatoes at me? I was shaking so hard that the pastor said that my dad needed to walk me down to the altar, he didn’t think I could make it. And as soon as I said the sinners prayer, I felt washed clean white as snow and that vacuum in my heart was completely filled that I can barely contain it. The scales fell off my eyes and I can understand the Bible and I knew I had purpose. God Layed on my heart that I have a daughter waiting for me in heaven. I did not know what was happening to me then but I know now that it was the Holy Spirit entering my soul and filling the void in my heart, that I can barely contain it! I believe God has put that void in everyone’s heart. People are continuing looking to fill it with worldly things...but only God can fill that void. I’ve made a lot of mistakes since... it did not make me perfect, but I am forgiven. Overnight sensations often awaken the next morning to find the glamor tarnished and the success fleeting. But when we’re filled with God’s compassionate love, we’re happier, stronger, and useful. True success isn’t overnight; it’s eternal. Fame and fortune may be God’s will for a few. It’s the devil’s trap for many. Only the love of Jesus satisfies us forever. I want you to know that He is knocking at the door of your heart...❤️. Let Him in. 🥰

I like your shows you’ve had; that you do. What I would really love to see you do is a Bible study class on RUclips. Read how much you want and have somebody, a guest to talk about what chapter you’re reading on. And this way you can do the Bible in a year. This would be awesome. I enjoy listening to you. Talk about God the Bible he would be great at it and I think you would have a good following. I do understand it really takes up a lot of time to do a RUclips channel, the cameras and all that involved. Give it a thought. God bless.

Me and a friend went to a college to talk to people about Jesus. It took everything I had to do it. I'm glad I did, I didn't change any minds. I didn't get into any big debates, but I showed up. Hopefully I can do better next time with more confidence. I'm hoping to get your course soon!

Great video! I love being a Trail Life Leader! Showing our young men that it's ok to be a stand up, masculine man of God! Its what God intended for us! I just wish the men around us would stand up for their beliefs and take back our country! It isn't about a president, it's about the grass roots of this once-great country! Kirk, Thank you for reinforcing my theology where many around me are in a swirl of despair. Truth is, there has never been a better time than now. We need to take the words God gave to Joshua in taking courage and be strong. For the LORD is with us!!! Stop listening to the sound bite world and spend time before the Father of all creation and marvel at what He is doing and will continue to do with those who desire to see His power on display just like what King Asa was once rebuked for having once had then overlooked later in his life. Let us not be like Asa in forgetting how God once used us and be more like Caleb and asking God for that mountain!!!! Cheers, my brother!!!
