Carmine being such a gossip probably explains why Kieran is so careful about expressing his feelings for the player, carefully doing it via applin. Because if Carmine found out, it would be public knowledge by the end of the day.

I feel like Drayton shuts her down here because he doesn’t like people mentioning his lineage. After all, it probably makes him think he only got where he did through nepotism (which he may well have done) in contrast to people with humbler origins like Kieran, who despite bullying, despite (highly implied) autism, Kieran got where he did through his own merit, as Nemona picks up on.

With Kieran, Drayton, Penny, Carmine, Pokémon seems to love implying their characters are queer but stopping just short of having a queer moment between two characters, or characters actually saying they are. But it's clear what their intentions are, it's to have a queer character but to avoid backlash from bigots.

I’m surprised Kieran was not even a match for Nemona, and he wasn’t a weakling towards the end of the DLC by any means, Nemona is really on a whole another level of strength and skill, in fact I could even imagine that Nemona would really give Cynthia or Red a challenging battle

The DLC characters are great, i'm so invested in so many of the characters in this game.
