This song is so hard for me to listen to. When I was young, I was sold into a child trafficking ring, where I encountered so many kids just like me. They were all so lost and scared. I spent ten years in that hellhole before I finally got out, but a lot of the others weren't so lucky. Most of them died before they ever got out. Some of them were so young, they didn't even remember a life before it. The ones that did make it didn't have a good home to go back to, like I did, and they slipped through the cracks. Not a day goes by that I don't think about them. Not a day goes by that I don't grieve them. They deserved so much, and they received nothing but pain. I wish I could go back in time and save them all.

Not that big of a Grouper fan, personally I find Liz to be quite boring at times, but Jesy really shines in this album. Really wish they would have made another album together. This song is the best off the album, imo.

I work in an alternative to suspension school and I could almost name the students in my classes she's singing about. If you think this song is tragic, try working with them on a daily basis. I get paid fast food money to deal with students who live in these situations. And you know what? I love my job and wouldn't trade it for the world. Edit: I no longer work with these kids, but I mourn them. I help homeless people who come to my house and need help. I've taken random homeless women to shelters because that was the best outcome for them at 3 am at a gas station. I worship the Norse Gods and Odin comes to random people expecting help. Who am I to turn them away?
