I noticed what looked like an intercooler and i was just wandering is the engine naturally aspirated or does it have forced induction like a turbocharger or supercharger?

I love this project, i don't blame that your front lip is a little higher than usual as the surface is ridiculous. But in a real track, you'd expect it to be lower. A wind tunnel would have helped! Great work guys!

Were you trying to hit the cones?

Recommend putting a gourney flap on the top wing to help pull the air on the underside of it up more, creating more downforce!

Definitely wish i could be a part of this. A small tip i think would help with the aerodynamics of the car is to place a small vortex generator on outer, lower edge of the wing sticking out, but as low as possible so the vortex generated creates an air seal across the lower side of the car near the actual gap between the floor and the floor of the side part of car, creating an air seal, increasing the downforce produced by the flat under floor.

This year we will make our first car with wings. we have already made some studies and CFD analysis, but, we are not sure about which mechanism is better to actuate the DRS. Can you tell me how you move the wings? do you use electrical motor? Thank you very much in advance!!!!

@Weberseon Thats actually last years car. We were doing some back to back testing between 2010 and 2011. 2010 has a CBR600RR.

@Weberseon : It depends on how well we do at the end of the year, and what our finances are like. We're definately considering it as the dream would be to go to FSUK, Austria and FSG, but we'll have to save quite a bit. Not to mention how it might adversely affect our 2012 car.

@Brootal290 : We don't have a pneumatic shifter, we just have a normal mechanical linkage for a shifter, but the lever comes up behind the steering wheel so the driver can shift up without taking his hand off the steering wheel.

@MrJacktodaMax : It's actually our temporary fuel tank! Because we are still running carbureted, we're not running our comp-spec fuel tank. It's much simpler to do it this way because the carby is gravity fed, and we don't have to muck around with getting the pumps right for the carby.

Guessing it's the gas cylinder for the pneumatic shifter. Car looks quick, but that single cylinder engine sounds like poo. Do you get points for exhaust note? You should.

What is the big silver cylinder attached to the rollbar? Accu-sump?

Like how the camera keeps on falling down. Good work on getting the chassis done so early, and getting the video of it up so fast too! We were still making changes to design last week, though hopefully that should be done by now.

That's uncredible. Your team have like 40 people. My team from Brazil has 9 , and four of them don't really work. We are 5 people to project, construct and make all the other stuff involved that you know how hard it is.

Wow that's a massive wing!! Would there be any benefits from adding the aerodynamic bells and whistles that you see in F1 cars at the speeds you reach in fsae? I know the wing obviously works, but I'm wondering if having slanted "gills" winglets and a diffuser would do any good.
