Does anyone notice throughout the movie the other mother never eats any of the food when Coraline comes to the other world the other mother’s plate is empty and the only thing she eats is a chocolate beetle

i find it eerie that the other mother making breakfast for coraline despite being exposed for being evil

I know the food is supposed to entice and lure Coraline into a soulless life meant to be slowly eaten alive, but man, does the Other Mother's cooking look so good!

It seems that everyone is asking why she taps her eyes or disappears but what I am wondering is why is the other mother still cooking for Caroline if her identity has been revealed? and the conflict they have? Is it because she still wants to play the motherly role? Or is it something else? The entire scene felt like a sour relationship between a mom and a daughter instead of a huge spider eating monster. I guess it fascinates me why the director wanted to go for a scene like this and am curious about the thoughts in both characters heads.

I wonder if the Other Mother tapping her eye actually was the clue because didn’t Coraline find her parents by listening out for them instead of just looking for them. I could be wrong but I always found that part interesting.

The other mother always seemed unsettling to me

the beldam knew she was messing up and had to hurry up with the process since coraline started pointing out hints like how her real parents do not like gardening the beldam could have gotten coraline if she did not point out the obvious or make things creepy she tried to hard not realizing most kids like her click onto stuff slow but fast you see if she gave coraline more than 3-5 nights of coming there and kept her acting skils up Coraline would may have given into the button eyes i will admit something that is creepy of how she made the doll hundreds of years before coraline was even born its like she saw a vision but was waiting at the right moment to come back wybie said the doll was like 100 years old so could the bedlam have visions of a new victim after every child she captures and also we need a Bobinski theory because how the hell did he know about the door or can understand what the mice says and also why is he teaching mice how to dance and preform that was swept under the rug right there my guess is that the 3 elderly who stays at the pink palace have experienced the bedlam and has escaped but as time got older they are slowly gaining dementia so its hard for them to remember their escape but they still know about the beldam

An internet search for the actual house in real life so I find myself here , the movie was an inspiration to me and many ! Would love to see more of this , I hope this vid gets more views it’s such a cool and rare find :)

To this day, I hum the way the other mother does whenever I'm doing something productive. Something about it is soothing as hell.

I love this movie so much. The first time Coraline enters the other world just excites me so much. And i love a deceiving villain, with how the other mother is trying to lure Coraline in to feast on her soul. Its just soo damn creepy to me.

I feel like this inplies that the other mother was the one humming the song when sewing the new doll in the opening sequence. I like how in that song, the voice was originally male and distorted, and then changed into the voice of a woman, soecifically how coralines mother sounds and the beldam. i wonder if this means her true voice is a lot stranger than we might think.

In the second kitchen scene the other mother looks like she is dressed like a traditional Chinese mum

I think 💭 it would be cool 😎 if divatox from Power Rangers Turbo kidnapped Coraline as a baby and raised her to be evil 🦹‍♀️Who agrees?
