First time I had a flat roof done, the contractor did a superb job in a very difficult situation only for it to fail spectacularly after 4-5 years all because the high quality plywood sheets he used actually should have been OSB Sterling Board. Very expensive mistake.

What caused the roof to fail... Was it sweating ?

There is a reason I-beams are now required to support a weight of the remaining chimney breast/stack... a bracket just does not cut it, as the whole load will now be carried by a party wall. Structural engineer will explain further, or Building Control department (you need a building notice for this type of work).

I cant believe they chose dark tiles in such a tiny room with a window to nowhere! When the blue ones came off i thought it looked 100 times better but with they grey... blimey... a cave. Beautiful craftsmanship though and the layout so much better!

those bricks were already moving/falling when you installed the acrow. shouldn't they have been installed BEFORE removing the wall?
