Idk if it’s just me, and I understand some peoples frustrations, but even as a poc I’m genuinely scared to use this song for an animatic. I’m absolutely terrified that because my interpretation isn’t exactly the actual meaning of the song that people will harass me. Ok this is MUCH better than the parody. A lot more relatable too. As a quarter-filipino trans man, I remember trying so bloody hard to fit in with the beauty standards in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. Everyone was either white or German and hairless while I was growing a mustache and body hair from the bloody age of 4. It made me feel alienated and unable to be loved. This song sums up those feelings perfectly though. Deffo adding this to my Spotify playlists.
