Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode Synth programming
Добавлен 5 мар 2022
Why to trying to emulate or replicate sounds from other bands?. In the process you learn a lot about your own gear. You are programming with a purpose, with a goal in mind. While you are trying, you are learning about synthesis, but also about mixing, as you are constantly comparing your sounds with a professional recording.
Trying things in your synth from scratch?. Sometimes great sounds and musical ideas come up. I do that too, but I am more interested in trying to find out how some great sounds from mainly electronic bands from 80´s and 90´s has been created. This is a channel for those who likes electronic music, but also for those who knows or would like to know how some of this sounds were created.
I have and Audio Engineering Diploma at HOFA college. For those interested in any of these patches, please contact me at my email.

The Robots 5th sound
This is one of my favourites sounds from the song. It is a simple one to program, but quite effective in the context of the song and by itself, in isolation. Harmonically shows the power of minor chords in first inversion.
It is also a non static sound, as filter cutoff is moving. To see how if has been automated, you can download the midi file and export it in your own DAW, with the preset from Massive. Those that uses Reaper could download also the Reaper project that you can see in the video.
I would only ask you in return your likes, comments or subscription.

Bass Station II: Halo Bassline Patch
Просмотров 741Год назад
You can hear Bass Station 2 showing its analogue capabilities in this great Bassline written by DM. As the "movement" in this sound is as important as the patch itself, I have included the Logic X project and the midi file if you want to work with other DAW. Of course the BS2 patch is also included ;). In the logic project there are project and tracks explanations and you can also email me if y...
Krafwerk The Robots (THE BASSLINE) in Monark

A lot of time spent to get this bassline right. MIDI cc controllers are opening the cutoff filter and resonance value. You need to open the exact amount in every step or the whole sequence won´t sound right. To find out the values I use a frequency analyzer and my ears. You can request the MIDI file (including cc values) and the Monark ensemble here at juanma2889@hotmail.com Please, comment, li...
Kraftwerk´s The Robots recreation

Recreation of the song using sounds programmed from scratch (no sampling), mostly with Massive and also Monark from Native Instruments. Kick drum and Snare from Battery 4. Mix done mainly with Reaper stock plugins. I think is close to the original and shows the capabilities of both Massive and Monark. For every single sound in the song there is / there will be a tutorial in this channel. At the...

Sampled Speech

Parts from The Great Dictator Speech were sampled, heavily manipulated and processed. A short piece of music was written in order to try to express the enormous impact this words had on me.
The Robots (Part I) 1st Intro Sound. #kraftwerk #massive #patches

First sound of the song programmed in Massive. As Massive is a subtractive synth it can be replicated in any other subtractive synth. You can find at the end of the video integrated in the final Mix. All the sounds in the mix were programmed by scratch and will the uploaded shortly. #kraftwerk #soundpro #nativeinstruments #massive
You failed to nail that later line after the first intro sequence, that sounded nothing like the original.
Thank you for your comment but I quite like the way the patch is designed.
@@lastrecallrecordings I don't dislike it, I'm just saying you can totally tell it isn't from a real synth. Just saying.
Funny how you didn't compare to the sound in the mix of the original recording. I did and your plugin version really stands out and sounds different from the original.
@@gibsonflyingv2820 thanks for your comment!!
Preset available for your BS2. Send my a pm!.
0:39 Very interesting. How did you manage to analyse the detuning on the original?
Sorry for answering so late. With a frequency analyser.
superb 😀
super recreation 😍🤘
Thank you so much
WOW 😲😲😲
Thank you very much!!
The baseline us fuckin amazing 😍😍
Thank you!!.
Suena muy bien! 😊
The BS2 is fantastic. This sounds tremendous!
Thank you!. Violator sounds are still incredible, as important as the songwritting. :)
No processing, no eq, no mastering. Just the pure analog sound of BS2 and the lopped drums from the original. BS2 is sequenced with Logic Pro X
Sweet! :D
Thank you very much!
This remake is so good that RUclips even copyrighted you.
Reallly? I was not aware :). Thanks very much for your comment!!
nice
Thank you very much!!!
Great work !!! I'd like DM midifiles to import in my Fantom 8... Could you share them ? Thanks
Thank you very much for your feedback. I am afraid that there is no MIDI out from Vsynth XT arpeggiator. I think Fantoms do it, but XT doesn´t.
Sweet... :)
Thanks for your comment!
Appreciate the videos but subtitles aren’t on screen long enough.
Yes, you are right. I Will try to improve it but i hace memory space is suerte so I have to keep the videos sport.. In the meantime you can use pause. Thanks for your comment!!!. Anyway I hope you enjoy the videos .

Thank you very much.

Thank you very much!
@@lastrecallrecordings is it possible to share this patch ?
@@magevers59 Let me find some time to export it and I can saher it with you. Anyway, it is fully explained in the video. Let me know if something in the video is not clear enough.
Nicely done! Saw the post on Facebook. That arp 2600 addition ☺️ Yep, great recreation. Perhaps the TVA attack on +2 to take off the clicking sound. Overall a huge 9.99!
Thanks for your comment. Very appreciated . I Will try your suggestion!!!
@@lastrecallrecordings I have that same issue also with new sounds. Also on my JP-8080. Just adjusting the TVA-Attack can change that. Good luck and thanks for getting back.
@@theMIDImaniac I have uploaded the second part of this video. I followed your suggestion about the TVA attack time & used the step modulator. Thanks for your help!
Dude, that's cool! I couldn't do it and I didn't waste time on it...
Thank you man!! More sounds shortly.
