    Awesome video. How do you decide which grinding wheels to use? I picked one of these 1055’s up second hand and it came with a whole box of different grinding wheels.

    • @jasonwilliams8321
      @jasonwilliams8321 7 месяцев назад

      On the left you are pretty much stuck with the little wheel. The right hand side (larger one) can be used with a variety of different wheels based upon your needs and not all of them need to be Belsaw ones ( I regularly hook up a wire brush wheel and a diamond wheel to it). If you are sharpening a carbide tipped saw blade you are going to need a diamond wheel as even with the greenies you are just going to scrape of parts of the wheel and still end up with a dull blade. Just experiment and decide on what you need for any application. The right hand side is pretty much allocated for circular saw blade sharpening but it can be modified to suit most any other needs.

The bottom edge of the ufo sits perfectly against the top edge of the sting.they made the sting in a six string model and a bass model. To the best of my knowledge they only made 500 of them in bass. The ufo is an extremely rare guitar. They made a lot of the ufo model but most of them were lost in time. Awesome find. Ive been looking for one of the ufo models for years now. Im always to late just sold kind of things. Nice find man.if you look at the add with wonder woman the other guitar is the sting. And yes it is a headless instrument.

      Ebay has some of the attachments (ie. chainsaw sharpener, clipper honing plate, drill bit sharpener, etc......) but often times you can buy specific sharpening standalone tools much cheaper than they are asking for these attachments. The only other option is to fabricate your own.

    Did you ever do anything after the furnace? I am going to use Gingery's ideas and build a vertical milling machine. I am going to scale any measurements up and see what I can do. I am starting a YT channel as soon as it gets warmer and I recover more from a motorcycle accident. I was riding to work on my Hand restored 1957 Harley Panhead and I was clipped and flipped up and around a telephone pole with my bike and my right leg taking the worst of the crush. I am out of danger for losing my leg but I am dealing with the aftermath. I want to be able to make any parts for my 928 Morgan Aero Brooklands MG Special. I will be building a Pembleton style Hillclimb racer that has a BMW engine and a 4speed transmission and a narrowed 12 bolt rear. I like your furnace build. Thanks for sharing.....

    I came across your video while trying to find our what happened to a pastor that was there before Steve Poe and haven't had any success. Although I never attended that church I had friends who did. Unfortunately the Pastor before Steve Poe was involved in a scandal which began the splitting up of the congregation. There were three big churches in St Joseph at the time, Word of Life where I attended for a number of years, Grace Evangical, and Caring First and it seemed like people would migrate around those congregations when they got disgruntled where they were going so a good number of Caring First members left and went to the other two congregations after the scandal and so I think because of the loss of substantial financial support of the wealthy members the church got on a downhill slide till they gradually started selling off property until they were down to a skeleton of the church they once were and had to put the building up for sale and the Baptist Church bought it. Very sad story

    • @jasonwilliams8321
      @jasonwilliams8321 11 месяцев назад

      I wasn't aware of a previous scandal before Steve Poe but most evangelical churches had their share of scandals so it's not surprising. There was still lots of money in the church when I was attending once they had a guest evangelist in around Christmas and the total for the offering was like $30. Steve got up and shamed the church for not giving better to this guy since he was basically there for free and the next night the total was $10,000. Another poster who contacted me said that after Steve Poe left a guy named Tim Woody took over and bankrupted the church through his investment in a television ministry. Caring first on the surface was a thriving church but after you peeled back the layers there e were many problems.

    • @RhondaGabriel-wg4qp
      @RhondaGabriel-wg4qp 11 месяцев назад

      @@jasonwilliams8321 Yes that church was even bigger before Steve Poe could have been the biggest one in St Joseph and it took a downhill slide for a number of years before they were forced to sell the property and I do remember Tim Woody. He continued on with a handful of members who were left after they moved out of the property and into different rehabbed buildings around town and I lost track after that. Word of Life where I attended suffered an internal problem and lost many members also due to a sort of change in doctrine to the point that it went from two services on Sunday to one and many other changes in outreach, very sad

    The biggest form of theft is wage theft yet they are so concerned about consumer theft. These companies have insurance to cover theft, what do these employees have to increase their wages? Nothing. I cannot stand 99% of retail workers. Like someone said below they cannot spot actual thieves to save their lives. They simply stereotype and use that as their guide. They follow the white guy like yourself who looks tough, those with tattoos, they follow those of us who are black whether we dress nice or not. All I do is either confront them politely that way when people overhear what they are doing THEY look like the bad guy. People never side with the person yelling. If the worker yells everyone will blame them as they should. I also will follow them back and watch them instead. Because you’re a guy it would be better to do that than confront them as that can turn hostile.

    It's bizarre that they went with 23 frets. There were a few Peaveys and Kubickis that did that as well, and I always found it strange. If you're gonna' have more frets than the 21 or 22 on most Fenders and Gibsons, why not just add one more to provide a full two octave range on each string, with the highest note on the instrument being the same as the lowest note, only four octaves higher? That being said, I also always thought it strange that most Fender, Gibson, and Rickenbacker basses only had 20 frets instead of adding one more for 21, which left the highest note an Eb instead of an E.

    • @jasonwilliams8321
      @jasonwilliams8321 Год назад

      Correct. It's too bad that most of the people who were associated with the company (engineers, techs, etc.....) are probably no longer with us so there's no way of getting the low down on why things were designed the way that they were. Most of the info I have on the company comes from second hand sources and it's not always reliable. For example I have so many versions of which guitars were equipped with Dimarzio pickups I can't even count them. Some say they were only on one or two models while others have said that the Japan manufactured models were standard with them. Still others maintain that Hondo would equip them with DM pickups if you paid for an upgrade no matter what the model. We'll probably never know the truth.

    Dude, ive bern in LP for 30 years. If you don't start with the premise someone is going to steal, you will never catch anyone. There are good and bad LP but you've picked pit all of the negatives with no positives. Extremely biased and shows the limits of your knowledge of the profession. You're actually the easiest person to cstch because you think you know it all. If i was watching you, you would never know it. Those not being surveilled can obviously identify LP because the behavior is abnormal. However, a equality store detective will never be seen until you hit the door. And by the way, while it's possible for someone to have never stolen, it is extremely rare and i just don't believe you. Nearly every kid steals something. If not from a store, it will be from a party, your parents or siblings, a friend or an office. So get real too. Deep down you know I'm right

    Though it's true these are a very basic construction and rebuildible, but.....if the seals inside are defective, you can't buy them. Orings maybe, but I doubt the diaphragm is shot, good luck finding another one. Also I hear it's got a leak. Was that where you didn't put any thread tape? It is weird it wouldn't spin, unless it was frozen due to lack of grease. It is a shame u can't just buy kits to rebuild them. They are made really well and ashame that throwing them away is an answer at all. But for 15 bucks, most people feel like, why go to the trouble. As long as you oil and grease them, there's no reason to trash them. I just gave 80 bucks for an Ingersoll Rand 2 inch. And I'd be damned if I'd throw it away due to some seal failure. They better have a reasonably priced kit to repair it. Thanks 👍

    You can also buy carbide tips in bulk and when you knock a tip off you just weld a new tip onto that tooth of the blade. There isn't any need to throw the blade away just because you are missing a few teeth. You can remove all the carbide tips when they are all very worn, weld on all new tips & sharpen them and you have a blade that is like a high end blade for a fraction of the cost.
