Is a primer needed when applying to 100 year old plaster made of lime and sand. I'm interested in trying this technique over a wall which is made up of a mix of the original lime plaster (well fixed) and new lime plaster where wall repair was necessary. Many thanks :)

So basically drink about 8 beers, invite your friends over, drink more beer and then plaster drunkenly to hide imperfections in the drywall. Sounds like fun..... Who's in?
