Great tutorial! I managed. Congratulations! Just one question regarding the import of the png to an video editor. I normally use Camtasia. Is that ok? And secondly my pc doesn’t recognise the *.png.000 type of file besides being just an ordinary *.png. I noticed that your PC automatically recognized as Photos app. Any suggestion? Thanks
Hey, I'm not sure how to import image sequences in camtasia. I'm using daVinci resolve, a video editing software in this tutorial, and it recognises png sequences automatically. You can download daVinci resolve free of cost from their website. :)
@@Mystical_3D Thanks. So I a managed to export into PNG and Camtasia recognizes. When I exported it generated 360 files. For 15 seconds of video? It’s a lot frames.
@@diogocabecinha9970 360 ÷ 24 FPS (Frames Per Second) = 15 Seconds. So basically you need to set 24 FPS for the final video and render it in mp4 format. But if you want a short video then you have to re animate the turntable in Maya Or You can speed up the turntable video a bit in order to short video length. For example let's say you want a faster turntable like 10 seconds instead of 15 Seconds, so how many frames do we need for a 10 second video? So if you want a 10 second duration with 24 FPS (frames per second) then 24 (FPS) × 10 (Seconds) = 240 (Total Frames) so you have to make that entire turntable in 240 frames in Maya. If you want 30 FPS then 30 × 10 = 300 frames. So it depends what frame rate you choose. I hope it helps. If you have any doubts feel free to ask ^^
@@Mystical_3D well thanks a lot. It truly helped. In the meantime if I want to use the shaders does the color info comes on the rendering. I’m just a bit lost because all color info I lost when imported into maya
You didn't say that deleting the prefs would also delete any Maya projects that we had.
Deleting prefs won't delete your projects. Your Project Must be safe.

Hi, does doing automatic unwrap mess up the uvmap in stead of doind it manually?
Automatic UV unwrapping tools in Maya can be quite useful for quickly generating UV maps, especially for simpler models. However, for complex or detailed models, manually unwrapping UVs may provide more control and better results, as it allows you to optimize the UV layout for specific areas and minimize distortion. Automatic UV mapping is particularly beneficial when facing tight project deadlines or when dealing with 3D models that play a secondary or distant role in a scene. For instance, filler objects seen from a distance may not require intricate UV layouts, making automatic unwrapping a suitable choice. However, for models with significant importance or those viewed up close, manual UV unwrapping is recommended. This approach provides greater control over hiding seams and organizing UV shells strategically, facilitating more efficient and detailed texture application.
is it possible to do this without video editing software?
Well, if you plan to render it with Arnold, then it might not be possible without video editing software. You'll need video editing software to compile the image sequence into a video format. You can download DaVinci Resolve for free from their website, and the process is not overly complicated. However, if you prefer to skip the rendering and all those steps, you can simply use Playblast from the viewport. 🙂

Autodesk needs to get off of their lazy asses and fix this persisting problem. This is the absolutely worst way of resetting your messed up UI. I've been using Maya for 20 years now and this issue has never been addressed despite people bitching about it for years. Resetting your preferences just to regain the correct hypershade is absurdly idiotic. I have custom shelves, marking menus, etc. And I have to go through all of this unnecessary bullshit every time this happens. I am glad my usage of Maya has diminished to bare minimum thanks to Unreal Engine.

What if for some reason the prefs folder is not on your computer?
The prefs folder will be there unless you have manually deleted it. If there is no prefs folder then maya will automatically re-create the prefs folder whenever you open maya.

Strange, I have been deleting prefs folder 100 times till now and maya always re create it after restarting maya. :/ Well alternative solution you can bring back those all missing windows from hypershade and manually dock them.

Hi, Just save whatever file you are working on and follow the steps which I have shown in the video. It will reset your Hypershade missing panels. Don't worry about your project file it will be safe. Follow tutorial from 1:28
