Click bait, had to watch out of curiosity. Sorry, but none of that food would be fit to eat after 20 years, and I seriously doubt the Amish keep food nearly that long. Properly canned food can last twenty years, but the taste and quality would be greatly diminished. Tallow goes rancid in a year or less at room temp, so good luck storing meat 20 years in tallow, and I dare you to eat a piece of 20-year-old smoked meat.

Cant find this much bs in a stock yard. Being a bee keeper and having Amish as friends i find 90% of what was said ofensive and wrong. If they could get "tones" of honey from 1 hive i would inplament thit in my hives asap. If you get 200 lbs of honey from 1 hive you have had an excepional year. The color of honey is dependant on the nector the bees collect,nothing else. Honey is harvested between 15 and 18% moisture. Any lower and it will not comme out of the comb,any higher and it will ferment. It is NOT thicker or ritcher be cause of thier pratices. He did not even pronounce the name of the mite affecting honey bees correct. If i could make up stories like this i would have been a fiction book auther

Complete bull. There is not a hive on the entire planet that ever produced 4,000 pounds of honey! And I don't know of a single beekeeper that uses pressure treated wood or toxic glue. Lavender has no significant affect on mites. The guy working on the horizontal hives is not Amish! Nor does rotating frames affect the mite population. What an embarrassment of crap!
