i feel you on the “i wanted to be depressed and spread that energy” i’ve had a lot of situations where i pigeon holed myself into being miserable but i didn’t have to do that. now i actively choose to be content and create joy because to choose to pity myself is not worth it for my well being

i just wrote in my notes the other day the common scripture “obedience is better than sacrifice” &I wrote under it ‘submitting your will to God , is better than submitting your will to man’. Sacrificing who we are, our relationship with God, being Godly is submitting our will to man. ‘through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners’ but when we submit our will to God we focus on remaining in that love , our relationship with Him, we find who we are and don’t have to sacrifice who we are and who God called us to be for the sake of anyone else. we get to be that light in the darkness. ‘through his obedience many were made righteous.’ also reminded me of that sermon by Sarah jakes roberts talking about not missing her mark just because someone else wants to go low , when we be disobedient we miss the mark of who God called us to be, we must stay obedient in Gods will, our mark. just my insights, very timely <3

My biggest fault was being scared of losing people who weren’t having any good cause to my evolution energy

I remember when I was in college 18-19 pre-covid and I was so depressed and stressed and would often use casual sex as a gateway but I would still have that empty feeling and lowkey regret when everything was done. It’s so important to work on yourself through yourself and not through external distractions that only hinder us from that happiness and really just bury us deeper and deeper into a shell of ourselves.

i love, love, love this video! <3 to your point of why there is an erasure of interdependence: there is a great deficit of community in the west. we have cultivated a society that distrusts the self, that learns from early on not to believe our own voice and to betray our true nature for whoever culture tells us to be. so community does not feel safe, community is not home because community means we must abandon ourselves and it can feel so alien there. true community, as i've been reading about in The Healing Wisdom of Africa, is meant to mother our gifts and inherent talents and nurture our purposes until we are ready to go out into the world and do what we are meant to. interdependence in the modern context could mean the dismantling of a system that is meant to only benefit those who abandon the principles of community by seeking their sole advancement.

I am definitely in a point of isolation and wilderness; However I’m taking all this open space to pour into myself abundantly. (I’ve been consistently creating content; working out. Working a full time shop and part time job) I’m doing a lot of things for myself and my future me. ❤❤❤ )I also want to focus on my diet and making my home a safe space aesthetically) I haven’t gotten to the spiritual part yet. I’m so used to movement action and working for more. Which can cause me to lack empathy and grace for who I am in this moment. I definitely need to prioritize the spiritual before I end up with all I ever wanted but still unhappy. Thank yall for sharing.

ive always looked at my parents as just "people" never parents since i was 7 , i always had this deep knowing with in me that i am divinely protected whether they did their job or not 🤷🏽‍♀️ ive always been logical so my wilderness was mental & emotional asf because up until 21 i was just numb so my first heart break really fucked me up because i had never realized that because i was never paid attention to and knew my parents couldn't show love because they weren't shown love i had completely turned my emotions off .. im a pisces btw
