    Thank you for sharing. I found your video looking for causes of flash curing, due to some resin I got from a friend. I did research the resin I received before using it. Long story short I’ve used it a few times in same molds and when I’d use a darker color I noticed it want the resin getting hotter in the mold. And 2 of the 12 I’ve made flashed cured ! It’s actually only on mold doing it. Not as bad as your friends but still. Any ideas what might be causing this? I tried to post a photo with my comment but unfortunately that didn’t work out either! Again thanks and thank you for your thoughts.

      Hi 👋🏼 I am wondering if the darker color is heavier in pigment which could change the chemical makeup of the resin. Maybe try using less of the darker color and see? Also, what are you using to color the resin?

    Here are some FAQ questions that I hope will help you more... Let me know! 🌟1. Why use Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze spray for sealing paint pour art? Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze spray creates a durable, glossy finish that enhances the colors and patterns of paint pour art while protecting it from dust, moisture, and wear. 🌟2. How do I prepare the surface before applying the glaze spray? Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Wipe off any dust or residue from the paint pour surface to avoid imperfections in the sealant layer. 🌟3. How many coats of Triple Thick Glaze should I apply? It’s recommended to apply 2-3 light coats, allowing each layer to dry completely before adding the next. This ensures an even and glossy finish. 🌟4. What is the drying time for the glaze spray? Each coat of Triple Thick Glaze usually dries to the touch within 15-30 minutes, but it’s best to let it cure for 24 hours for maximum durability. 🌟5. Can I use this method on other paint pour projects besides Christmas bells? Yes, Triple Thick Glaze can be used on a variety of paint pour surfaces, including canvases, ornaments, and other decorative items. 🌟6. How do I reuse the greenery and bow from the original bells? Carefully remove the greenery and bow before starting your paint pour. After sealing and drying the painted bells, reattach the greenery and bow using hot glue or a strong adhesive. 🌟7. What precautions should I take while using the glaze spray? Use the spray in a well-ventilated area, wear a mask if necessary, and keep the can at least 6-8 inches from the surface to avoid drips and uneven coverage. 🌟8. Can I use a different type of sealant for this project? Yes, other sealants like resin, varnish, or acrylic spray can be used, but Triple Thick Glaze is ideal for achieving a high-gloss, protective finish. 🌟9. How do I prevent the glaze from dripping or pooling? Apply light, even coats while moving the spray can in a steady motion. Avoid lingering in one spot, as this can cause drips or uneven buildup. 🌟10. How do I care for and display the finished Christmas bells? Store the bells in a cool, dry place to protect the finish. When displaying, hang them away from direct sunlight or extreme humidity to maintain the vibrancy of the colors and the glossy seal.

    Here are some FAQ questions that I hope will help you more... Let me know! 🌟1. What materials do I need to make resin dominoes? You will need resin (epoxy or UV resin), domino molds, resin pigments or dyes, mixing cups, stir sticks, gloves, and a heat gun or torch to remove air bubbles. 🌟2. What type of resin is best for making dominoes? Epoxy resin is commonly used for making dominoes because it has a long working time and produces a smooth, durable finish. UV resin can also be used, but it requires UV light to cure. 🌟3. How do I prevent bubbles in my resin when making dominoes? To avoid bubbles, mix the resin slowly and thoroughly. You can also use a heat gun or torch to gently pass over the surface to release any trapped air bubbles. 🌟4. How long does it take for resin dominoes to cure? Curing times vary depending on the type of resin used. Epoxy resin typically takes 24-48 hours to fully cure, while UV resin can cure within minutes under UV light. Always check the manufacturer’s instructions. 🌟5. Can I add color or designs to my resin dominoes? Yes! You can add resin pigments, mica powders, glitter, or even embedded objects to customize your dominoes. Be sure to layer the designs to avoid mixing colors unintentionally. 🌟6. How do I remove the dominoes from the mold once they are cured? Once the resin is fully cured, gently flex the silicone mold to release the dominoes. If needed, carefully use a craft knife to trim any excess resin from the edges. 🌟7. Why are my resin dominoes not perfectly smooth? If your dominoes have imperfections, it could be due to air bubbles, improper mixing of the resin, or dust getting into the mold. Sanding the edges or applying a finishing coat of resin can help smooth them out. 🌟8. Do I need to seal my resin dominoes after they are cured? Sealing is generally not necessary for resin dominoes unless you want an extra glossy finish or added protection. If you choose to seal them, you can apply a layer of clear resin. 🌟9. How do I ensure my resin dominoes are the right size and shape? Make sure your mold is level while the resin is curing, and check the size of your mold to ensure it matches the dimensions of standard dominoes. If you notice any irregularities, carefully trim the edges once the resin is fully cured. 🌟10. Can I make resin dominoes without a mold? While it’s possible to make free-form resin pieces, using a mold provides consistency in size and shape. Custom molds are easy to find online or you can make your own using silicone.

    Here are some FAQ questions that I hope will help you more... Let me know! 🌟1. Why is it important to clean silicone cups after using them for resin crafts? Cleaning silicone cups after each use prevents resin from hardening inside them, ensuring they remain in good condition for future projects. It also helps maintain the integrity of the resin and keeps your work clean. 🌟2. What materials do I need to clean silicone cups after resin use? You’ll need a few basic materials: Isopropyl alcohol (preferably 90% or higher), Paper towels or disposable wipes, A scraper or spatula (optional), A cleaning brush (optional) 🌟3. Can I wash silicone cups with soap and water? Yes, but for best results, you should first remove excess resin by wiping out with a paper towel, scraping it off or using alcohol. Then, wash the cup with warm soapy water to remove any remaining residue. 🌟4. How do I remove cured resin from a silicone cup? If resin has cured inside the cup, use a plastic scraper or your fingers to peel off as much as possible. Then, clean the remainder with isopropyl alcohol and a brush or towel to ensure no residue remains. 🌟5. Is it safe to use alcohol to clean silicone cups? Yes, isopropyl alcohol is safe for cleaning silicone cups, as it breaks down the resin and helps remove any sticky or hardened bits without damaging the silicone. 🌟6. How do I clean silicone cups if there is still sticky resin left? After scraping and wiping, if the cup is still sticky, soak it in a small amount of alcohol for 10-15 minutes, then wipe again. You can also use a toothbrush or sponge to scrub away any stubborn residue. 🌟7. Can I use the same silicone cups for different resin projects? Yes, you can reuse silicone cups for multiple projects. Just be sure to clean them thoroughly between uses to avoid mixing colors or chemicals from different resin projects. 🌟8. How do I clean silicone cups if I don’t have alcohol on hand? If you don’t have alcohol, you can use a vinegar and water solution as an alternative. However, alcohol works best to remove resin quickly and efficiently. 🌟9. What is Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel Spray, and why is it used for sealing? Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel Spray is a high-quality, clear acrylic spray that protects painted surfaces from wear and fading. Spray the enamel evenly over the surface from about 12-16 inches away. Apply in light, even coats, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next to avoid drips and uneven coverage. 🌟4. How many coats of Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel Spray should I apply? For the best results, apply 2-3 light coats of the spray, allowing each coat to dry for about 15-30 minutes before applying the next. This builds a protective layer without over-saturating the paint. 🌟5. How long does it take for Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel Spray to dry? It dries to the touch in about 15-30 minutes. Full curing can take 24-48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Allow the painting to dry completely before handling it. 🌟6. Can I use this spray on other types of art or surfaces? Yes! The enamel spray is meant to be used before resin or as an alternative to resin for sealing. 🌟8. Will the spray yellow or discolor my acrylic paint? No, Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel Spray is designed to be clear and will not yellow over time, ensuring that your painting’s colors stay true and vibrant. 🌟9. How should I store my acrylic painting after sealing it with this spray? Store your painting in a dust-free environment at room temperature. Keep it away from direct sunlight or extreme heat, which could affect the finish. 🌟10. Can I use Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel Spray on glossy paintings? Yes! Here are some FAQ questions that I hope will help you more... Let me know! 🌟1. What size are mini canvases, and where can I find them? Mini canvases typically range from 2"x2" to 4"x4" and can be found at craft stores, online retailers, or dollar stores. 🌟2. Do I need to prepare the mini canvas before pouring paint? Most mini canvases come pre-primed with gesso and are ready for use. If your canvas isn’t pre-primed, apply a thin layer of gesso and let it dry completely. 🌟3. What types of paint work best for mini canvas pour art? Acrylic paint mixed with a pouring medium works best. The pouring medium ensures the paint flows smoothly and dries without cracks or crazing. 🌟4. How do I mix paint for mini canvas pour art? Combine acrylic paint with a pouring medium in a 1:1 ratio and add a small amount of water if needed. The consistency should be like warm honey or heavy cream. 🌟5. What are some simple techniques for beginners to try on mini canvases? Popular techniques include: Dirty pour (layering paints in one cup and pouring them together), Swipe (using a tool to swipe the paint across the canvas), Flip cup (placing a cup of paint upside-down on the canvas and lifting it), and the Balloon dip (using a balloon to create unique patterns). 🌟6. How do I keep my workspace clean while working with mini canvases? Use a drop cloth, plastic tray, or silicone mat to catch excess paint. Elevate the canvas on small stands or cups to prevent it from sticking to the surface. 🌟7. How do I prevent paint from running off the edges of a mini canvas? You can tape the edges to control paint flow or use a smaller amount of paint to ensure better coverage without excessive runoff. 🌟8. How long does it take for mini canvas pour art to dry? Mini canvases dry faster than larger ones, typically within 12-24 hours. However, allow up to a week for the paint to cure fully before sealing. 🌟9. What can I use to display mini canvas art? Mini canvases can be displayed on small easels, mounted in shadow boxes, or attached to magnets for a fridge display. 🌟10. Can I use leftover paint from larger projects on mini canvases? Yes! Mini canvases are perfect for experimenting with leftover paint. You can try new techniques or color combinations without wasting materials.

    Here are some FAQ questions that I hope will help you more... Let me know! 🌟1. What is cracking in acrylic paint pouring, and how is it different from crazing? Cracking occurs when deep splits form in the paint layer, often due to uneven drying or excessive thickness. Crazing, on the other hand, refers to fine surface lines or patterns that resemble cracks but don’t go all the way through the paint layer. 🌟2. What causes cracking in acrylic paint pours? Common causes include: Paint layers that are too thick, Uneven drying caused by temperature changes or drafts and Overuse of water or improper ratios of pouring medium and paint. 🌟3. How can I prevent cracking in my paint pours? To prevent cracking: Use thinner layers of paint, Mix paints with a pouring medium to improve flexibility, Dry your artwork in a stable, room-temperature environment without drafts or direct sunlight. 🌟4. What is crazing, and why does it happen in paint pouring? Crazing occurs when the top layer of paint dries faster than the layers below, causing tension that creates fine surface lines. This can happen if the paint mixture is too thick or contains too much water. 🌟5. How does the type of pouring medium affect cracking and crazing? High-quality pouring mediums reduce cracking and crazing by adding flexibility to the paint as it dries. Budget or DIY mediums may lack the elasticity needed for smooth drying. 🌟6. Can temperature and humidity affect cracking and crazing? Yes, temperature and humidity play a big role. Rapid temperature changes or high humidity can disrupt the drying process, leading to cracking or crazing. Dry your artwork in a stable, climate-controlled area. 🌟7. Why does using too much water in the paint mix cause problems? Too much water thins the binder in acrylic paint, reducing its ability to adhere and remain flexible as it dries, which can lead to cracking and crazing. 🌟8. Can I fix cracks in my acrylic paint pour after they appear? Small cracks can sometimes be filled by adding a layer of clear varnish, resin, or additional paint. For severe cracking, you may need to sand down the surface and repaint. 🌟9. What role does canvas preparation play in preventing cracking? Properly priming the canvas with gesso or ensuring the surface is pre-primed helps prevent cracking by providing a stable base for the paint layers. 🌟10. Can I embrace cracks and crazing as part of the artwork? Absolutely! Many artists choose to highlight cracks and crazing as part of the piece's texture and character. You can enhance these features with metallic paints, resin, or additional details.

The same acrylic paint mixed with a pouring medium works beautifully for both. This creates a cohesive look between the canvas and ornament. 🌟How do I prevent paint from cracking or peeling after it dries? Answer: Ensure the paint layers aren’t too thick and mix with a good-quality pouring medium to improve flexibility. Let the pieces dry in a dust-free, room-temperature area to avoid rapid drying. 🌟How do I clean the ornament stands after use? Answer: Allow the paint drips to dry completely, then peel them off. These stands do come with a care information sheet that will also provide more information. 🌟How do I display the ornament and canvas sets together? Answer: The ornament stands are perfect for displaying the ornaments. Pair them with an easel for the canvas, or hang the ornament from a tree or hook while the canvas is framed or placed nearby. 🌟What are some tips for creating unique designs on the ornaments and canvases? Answer: Experiment with layering colors, creating swirls, or using techniques like a dirty pour. Adding glitter or metallic paints can also add a festive touch to the designs. 🌟Do I need to seal the finished ornament and canvas? If so, what should I use? Answer: Yes, sealing protects the paint and adds shine. Use a clear spray sealant or resin for ornaments and a varnish or resin for the canvas. Make sure the pieces are completely dry before sealing.

    I don't like the pure waste of color. You can do that with a little thicker and significantly less paint. Even better...

      Thank you for your feedback 🤗 I know there are more ways to make these ornaments, this is how I make them. I also reuse the dried paint in other projects, which is why I left the styrofoam covered in plastic ❤️

    Could I use the spray, then sprinkle with clear glitter (on ornaments)?

      Yes, as long as you are ok with the texture of the glitter. Definitely try one and see how you like it ❤️

    How long do I need to wait before I start to clean the Domino’s do I clean it while the paint is still wet or do I wait until it dries?

    • @FluidArtwithErika
      @FluidArtwithErika Месяц назад

      I did both but I thought cleaning after was easier because the paint didn’t smudge. I hope this helps ❤️
