Can you get enough points to afford it by the end of this level?

I played 2 very little compared to 1 so I’d like to play through it again on stream and take my time! Then when I know what I’m doing I’ll probably record an offline play through for RUclips. Hopefully sometime this year along with Conflict: Vietnam too!

Don’t worry, I used to have a lot of trouble with this level and still do sometimes if I’m not focused. With cavalry sometimes it’s a matter of knowing when to make them charge into a unit or charge through them if that makes sense. Have you tried placing more traps? Have you tried blocking their sappers with your infantry?

@@K0R8Z it finally worked after a few more attempts. The sappers somehow dodged the traps and ran past my infantry most of the times but they finally walked in so many traps that I didn't even need to attack.

I’ve experienced similar trouble. I would recommend searching for modern guides about getting this game to work with modern systems. I believe I had to download a patch that fixed the issue.

Hmmm, that’s very odd. Very rarely I’ll get attacked by the bomber wings! I usually feel like the level ends so quickly after they arrive. Also thanks for tuning into these videos to help your latest playthrough. It’s encouraged me to hurry up and finish my Kendal playthrough and then I’ll start on Regnier’s soon after

@@duranduran6456 I should be able to start scheduling the Kendal videos tonight. The bread and butter of Regnier’s campaign is keep your archers close for tree of healing and to afford it keep your orc cavalry riding through enemies to keep the SP coming in. I’ll be keeping Leinhart and Urukubarr with me but when I speedrun his campaign I change them to two Lich’s with fire and earth magic and just spam their abilities every fight hahaha

@@K0R8Z Hahaha! Your strategy is awesome. No rush with Regnier and Kendal playthroughs, my friend. I will go at it, until you release them. Then you can show me the thing you do with Lich haha

If I remember correctly you hold Left Trigger to chain commands while you have the tactical map up

@@duranduran6456 the amount of SP you can be generating is pretty crazy. Then players get to have fun casting spells like meteor and such more often!

@@K0R8Z Wow! Thank you so much! There was one area, that was marked on the map for me, where I hit it with fire arrows, and it was not counting it. Do I just keep hitting it with fire arrows, at different angels? Last, do the green, circular markers have to be there, on my game, to count? Most of the markers did not even appear for me.

@@duranduran6456 ​​⁠some of the green circles will disappear or not appear at all so I wouldn’t rely on them, just the counter. I haven’t had any issues with the ones I’ve marked in many playthroughs but if you’re not sure about one I’d recommend just going to the West side and finding more huts. Thanks. I haven’t put much effort into my RUclips as my Twitch in a very long time. I’m glad this was helpful too. Honestly I just recorded these so my friends could see all the cutscenes etc that I skip during speedruns. @@K0R8Z I am not familiar with Twitch. Is that the alternative to youtube? That is funny and awesome you made these videos for your friends! Haha! Well, these videos are the best walkthroughs for this game. The other walkthroughs are long and BAD! With my playthrough in this game, I had to restart completely, with Gerald. I realized that I have made some bad decisions with upgrading and the mercenaries I hired. I did not even apply the mercenaries to Gerald's group, in which it saved! Haha

Thanks! Glad it was useful. Some missions like one this can be a real pain first time through or if you haven’t played in a while. I had to slow myself down with this play through after doing so many speed runs haha. I really wanted to make sure people could properly see what I was doing in this!

To my knowledge the races don’t really have any strengths over others, it’s more units and spells having bonuses against others

I’m not 100% sure. Apart from the “obvious” stuff like archers good against air, spears against cavalry, ice against Dark Elves etc I don’t think too much about it. There’s some good guides and walkthroughs online that go into better detail than I ever could

Flanking with cavalry to me, is charging them from the side or behind into enemy units that are distracted or are engaged in melee

You don’t get a choice of what troops to bring in this level. By this level at the very least your archers should be upgraded to longbows and have the curatio spell. Gerald and your archers troop should have similar stats to mine in the video.

Is there a particular level you’re having trouble with?

I really appreciate this! I wish I’d received feedback like this sooner. Unfortunately I’m a few sessions in and I still don’t read the text aloud and I may have Googled one or two things… things that I could’ve figured out. I have part 5 queued up and have made a decent amount of progress but I will try and put this feedback into practice next time I play!

@@K0R8Z Mate, your playthrough is great! I'm here through to the end (and hopefully the DLC). Others will be through too! I know it doesn't help when the whole Outer Wilds community is like "don't look anything up, go in blind" and then you hit a wall... LOL. They're not wrong though. The emotional payoff when you make deeper discoveries with only the help of the Nomai and your fellow Hearthian travelers is real. I hope you get more views, because you're a truly entertaining guy with a great voice.
