I’m from Fort Lauderdale. Born and raised. It was either ‘84 or ‘85 that the Fixx along with other bands of the day, played Fort Lauderdale Beach right near the Yankee Clipper Hotel and across from the Bahia Mar Hotel. Spring Break free concert. I stupidly fell asleep amongst a few hundred thousand others, my back to the sun, hardly remember much other than waking up with 3rd degree burns. Horrible. Grad Night @ Walt Disney was happening over the next day or two. Pain like I’ve never known😂. Trying to wear a suit with a major sunburn. Miserable. I don’t recommend it.
