Gunung Jerai - Best Day Trip from Penang in Just 1 Hour Away
In this travel vlog, I’ll be visiting Gunung Jerai, the highest peak in Kedah, Malaysia (马来西亚吉打日来峰山). Located in the state of Kedah, Gunung Jerai is about an hour’s drive from the state capital, Alor Setar, and just over an hour from Penang.
Setting out from Penang early in the morning, I journeyed through picturesque paddy fields, occasionally catching glimpses of the sea and even spotting Pulau Bunting in the distance. The drive up the winding road to the Gunung Jerai Hill Resort was an adventure in itself, with each turn revealing more breathtaking views.

Visited this place January this year, i can tell you, it was an absolutely beautiful place. Watching the butterflies flying around you was so mesmerising, and there were so many unique and fascinating bugs, my favourites were the massive stick insects and the orchid mantis! I would absolutely visit this place again.

Very old hotel. Looks dated inaide and also haunted. Staff dont provide good service also. Check google reviews before staying ffs
Thank u for watching The hotel has a vintage feel, though it may appear a bit dated. Some might find the atmosphere a bit eerie, and while I found the service acceptable during my stay, it may not meet everyone’s expectations. On the plus side, the rates are quite affordable. I recommend checking recent Google reviews to see if it’s the right fit for you. ☺️

Hi..Thanks for the video..I have a ligament strain in my knee and i have been advised to avoid climbing stairs for a while..I am traveling to Penang in a couple of days.. How many stairs are there? And are there elevators in all the levels? Also are there fireworks everyday? Kindly let me know.
Thank u for watching and support There do have lift and buggy service with fees, but some places inside the kek lok si temple do have some stair have to climb a little bit. Fireworks is only happen during chinese new year once a year. ☺️

Terima kasih kerana menonton video saya dan memberi sokongan. Saya menginap di chalet atas air selama 3 hari 2 malam, dengan harga RM1200 satu malam termasuk semua makanan dan pengangkutan. Aktiviti lawatan ke pulau-pulau sekitar RM100 seorang. Penerbangan pergi balik dari Kuala Lumpur ke Semporna berharga RM500. Jumlah keseluruhan lebih kurang RM1800 seorang ☺️
