Hi friends, I'm Crafty Kat (Kathy).
I love all things arts and crafts, and I love learning new things, so this channel will have lots of different topics, including (but not limited to):
Crochet, knitting, diamond painting, digital painting, watercolors/acrylics/pastels...basically every art supply...I want to try them all, lol.
Non craft related interests are: spending summers at our camp (cottage), hiking, kayaking, photography, nature, and animals, Virtual Reality, cycling, and shopping (so LOTS of unboxing videos here).
For the last 2 years I've done World Watercolor Month in July, where I do 31 watercolors in 31 days, and this year I finally completed Inktober where I drew every day for 31 days.
I have a small gaming channel (BadGamerKat), but sometimes also share games here that I think you may like.

A note on their Red Madder, pr177 is Anthraquinone Red. Madder Red or Red Madder is a dye, so it isn't lightfast hence why companies often have a Red or Rose Madder in their line made with different pigments than the og. Usually they try to replicate the softer pink color of the dye, but Paul Rubens opted to just use pr177 for some reason. So you're not wrong in being a bit confused that it's that color, it's not supposed to be lol

120 lb is actually pretty substantial. Typical watercolor paper is 140 lb, but i actually prefer a slightly flimsier paper on my sketchbook. Otherwise, it feels like im working on a card.
Thank you for letting me know. I'm used to watercolor paper so it felt thin to me but it's actually quite nice.
What kind of clear glue did you finish these with? I have an Elmer's Clear Glue! I tried spraying with Krylon Crystal Clear, but that has such a strong smell and I don't want to send that to people!
I was using Tombow Mono Clear Glue but it was pricey so last year I started using the Elmer's Clear Glue and it works fine. I have ornaments that I sealed with Elmer's last year and they haven't yellowed or peeled at all. I don't know how long they'll last, but for Christmas ornaments and cards it works great. Diamond Grandma uses Minwax polycrylic clear and recommends that, but I haven't tried it yet as I'm also worried about strong smells. I have asthma and am sensitive to smells. I wish I knew what it smelled like, as a can of that would last ages.

lol to me they look like clumps of kitty fur hehehe. I love crafting with pompoms but they're impossible to glue to anything, even hot glue, same with felt or pipecleaners. great video! I'm always weary of temu 'cause I've heard rough stories for other sites. am I the only one who collects those plastic sewing needles for other crafts? lol. I got a set of 100 but they don't tell you the size of the holes, only the needles, so most were the wrong size. but I get them in other kits
