Thanks for sharing what you would do and like. I do have powder alfredo mix that I bought from Azure Standard but this was an easy peesy dump and go recipe. Chicken is a great choice if you don't like seafood.

I haven't been doing to much for my plants right now so I am nicely surprised they are doing so well. Have you ever looked into a presto heater. I think that ia what it is called. I saw another youtuber use that instead of using up there oil to heat the house. It looks like a fan but it blows hot air I guess. She said it is so much cheaper to use. Happy New Year! 🎉

Yes, I set it on the counter for at least an hour before cooking it. When Vinnie and I first got married I would cook the crap out of our roasts. Thinking it would not be tough that way. It was shoe leather every time. I stopped buying roasts because they were always horrible. Someone showed me this way of cooking it and I have been doing it this way for years and we LOVE it!

@@rachaelsupadventures Yes it works wonderful on Eye of rounds. That has the least amount of fat and so tender and juicy. I make it every month or so. We had it for 2 nights dinner and still had a lot left over so I put it in the food processor and chopped it up with a little mayo and made sandwiches with the rest of it. Was well worth the price and it fed us 3 times lol.

Publix is one of the best but most expensive stores in our area. We are very lucky, we have so many choices to shop at here so it seems like forever since I have done any shopping at Publix. We have a couple of Walmarts, Couple of Aldi, Trader Joes. Publix is on every corner it seems lol. We do love those BOGO's thou! I am thinking of working up a small budget for Publix just for sale items. Thanks for watching!

@@OurLifeOnADime We have more store in the city 15 minutes away and another city 30 minutes away and another 1 hour away. However, I do not enjoy driving the highways in the winter. I can order stuff from Walmart to be shipped though. Plus there is always Amazon no matter where you live right!

@@rachaelsupadventures Yes, absolutley! Do you have Sam's club? They deliver non perishables! I do big orders with them every once in a while. My favorite is Trader Joes. Aldi is good too but I can never get everything I need at one store shopping there. I need to get a good food budget so that we can still eat somewhat healthy come January without having to use the Food Bank. I appriciate it so much the few times that we have had to use it but my goal in 2025 will be not to have to use it if possible. 🤞

@@OurLifeOnADime I think they may have a Sam's Club in Green bay which is about 2 hours away from us. And we do not have a membership there. I can order from Costco and have it shipped and pay like $6 for shipping so it is not to bad. Trader joes is no biggie but I am not sure if they even have them in the UP.

@@rachaelsupadventures You should take advantage of Cosco if you have a card. You can really save some money compaired to your local ma & pa shop. I love going to Sam's but I literally can drop a grand with everything being $10. and up. I have to be very stratigic when we go. 😂

You can't open the oven to check tempatures once the roast is in. I don't use a thermometer for this recipe. If you need it I guess you could use one that you can place inside the meat before putting it into the oven. if you could read it outside the oven. Thanks for watching! 😊

LOL, mine used to always be overcooked no matter how I cooked it until doing it this way. 😎

For well done you just add more time before shutting off oven. I do a little over 2 minutes a pound for rare/medium rare. So easy and delish everytime!

Hello Sweet Friend! The eclaires are only $5.97 at Walmart. I don't buy them offten. They are a treat.😉 Hubby likes the vanilla greek and he adds honey to it. I will have to see if the Great Value brand carries honey greek. Hubby drinks the oatmilk. I don't like it lol. I think the extra creamy oatmilk has more fat in it doesn't it? We are trying to keep his fat content down to 15 grams a day. Yes liverwurst is a hit at my house. We sometimes put it on crackers with mustard lol. I will look for that tea. I have never heard of that tea, I will have to see if my store carries it. Yes it is a lot of food but it is for a month. I haven't gone shopping since a week before Thanksgiving! Can you believe it's already Christmas? I will fill in the gaps for fresh veggies and coffee and creamer and things that we use a lot of but I think it was worth a little over $100. a week. We drop that sometimes at Aldi just getting drinks lol. I have so much freeze dried food right now I am trying to eat through it lol. I was a member at Thrive Life and got food every month through them, I bought cases from the LDS Church Dispensery, Plus bought cases of Augason and likewise brands online. We are ready for the Zombie apocalypse here lol! I am going to try and work through some of my backstop to free up room. I will say the black bean mix is really good. We eat it all the time. I highly recomend it. I wish it snowed one day a year in Florida. Christmas day! ❄ We have had snow a few times in FL but way up north FL. Frost is the best I can hope for lol. Yes, stay safe and warm and enjoy your time off from work. Christmas break sounds like fun! ⛄

@@OurLifeOnADime If I could get them at $5.97 I would every once in awhile too lol. If just your husband is working do you qualify for EBT that would really help you out! I also have some canned dry stuff plus a bunch of 5 gallon buckets of dry goods like sugar, beans, oats, flour, powder milk etc. I keep a 1/2 gallon mason jar in the house and refill it when I run out. Then when it is empty I look for that thing to go on sale so I can refill my bucket again. Most of the buckets I have two or three of. We brought them with us from Washington! I don't mind the snow because they are really good about cleaning the roads but we are close enough to walk to the store if we really had to it is only about a mile away lol What we need to do is tie the dog up to a sled and he can pull our stuff. lol

@@rachaelsupadventures It really is true peace of mind having food in backstock. I have about 8 five gallon buckets of dry food that I need to use up. My beans and oats are about 2 years old if not older and I do use oxegen absorbers but I think they can still go bad. I have sugar, oats, flour, rice, pinto, mixed beans. Sugar lasts forever but I need to use up this other stuff. January I will start pushing it into our meal plan. I have tons of mason jars filled. Not from canning but dry food. No we don't qualify for food stamps. It sucks being just above the poverty line. A blessing and a curse all at the same time. 😉

@@OurLifeOnADime Yes having any kind of food pantry is peace of mind! The great thing about the beans is they also double as seeds so you can plant them and grow more! I am pretty sure we qualify for ebt. I just need to figure out who to call. On the 26 and 30th of this month we will be in the city at the VA medical center and I may be able to get information and a number there. On the 30th we are meeting with a worker to start the process to find out if hubby can get rated. It is similar to disability. It can take a while to get approved but if he does the starting amount is about $2100 a year and that would pay almost all our insurance premiums and taxes for the year! Every bit helps.
