Man o man! Flood of memories! I grew up in the 70s and 80s in Harrison and Barbour Counties. My best friend owned 22 horses...we’d ride for hours in the hills! I sure do miss it! Fall was my favorite time of the year! lol and crisp. Looks like y’all are in late fall early winter time? Beautiful mountains! That ride-a-way your walking done very much reminds me of where we’d sleigh ride in the winter time! Thank y’all very much for the video!

i would suggest keeping your tippit a lighter or the same weight as the end of your leader or you will be more prone to tangles as well as the fish seeing your line more. when nymphing try a 4 or 5x for smaller flys.

Try using the tell of the worm.

Cool vid bud.. I see you talk about tossing 4x before letting it roll out. You should only be able to get 2 flicks with ease or just use 1 roll cast. But to each is own just my opinion and ive fly fished for a very long time and thats how i do it. But still cool vid

If you pinch the worm in half at the coller, use the tail end, your do a lot better

After the last week of March i almost exclusively use nightcrawlers.. A size 6 salmon egg hook is great for holdin big worms, also tearing them in half seems to help with hookin up and not missing as many, just enough to cover the hook normally is enough for trout. I also use jigs and spinners, but I feel like a kid again when I'm tearim em up on nightcrawlers! Good content, tight lines from Mineral County in the Eastern panhandle..

It’s just my experience(in Calif), but using half a mini-crawler entices them well, need to have some of the worm moving behind the hook. Walmart’s garlic spray(black can) can only help. Good video!

Hey guy haven’t seen no video’s for a while now my dad in I have been out trying to catch some of these wv trout are selfs we just moved here in the mt hope wv area about 1 year ago in can’t seem to figure these fish out we went to the tail end of Summerville about a week ago and was there for about 6 hours and my dad got 1 rainbow about 17in that was the only fish all day we don’t eat fish always catch in release we love to fish in we’re about to hang up the poles need some help please people have been telling us they stocked the end of October still can’t catch anything other trout fishing guys have told me that people come behind the stockings with nets we have never had this problem fishing for trout where we lived before I have no idea what we’re doing wrong please HELP can’t wait to hear back from you guys in can’t wait for the next video hope in pray everything is great with you guys in you guys drop more videos soon GOD BLESS in thank you
