Hey group....I have a "nerve bundle" in my residual limb just below the TMR that was done two years ago. Tried to have a nerve block done but the physiatrist couldn't find the right nerve with them all bunch up in a ball. Looking for a neurosurgeon who can "inravel" it. What happens is that nerve gets pinched after about 4 hours or so when I put my prosthetic on. It relaxes after I take my prosthetic off for about 10 minutes,.... then put my prosthetic back on and I'm good to go again. I will travel if need be. Spokane isn't rolling in neurosurgeons.

I’ve been a PT for 21 years and a DOR a majority of those years. For me, I feel that the rehab industry started burning me out around 2015. At that time in the SNF setting, my employers began to un-define and redefine Medicare guidelines. I started to feel like I was forced in a corner and unable to be ethical and do right by my patients. This continued to worsen. After PDPM hit in 2019, overnight I lost my entire caseload of patients due to the way my employer at the time handled the change from RUGS to PDPM. At that time I took another DOR job. This job was the beginning of the end for me. The worst 2 years of my life. Patient care went straight to the toilet and the company work culture was beyond toxic. I was an hourly employee and working up to 30 hours a week off the clock. I didn’t have one single day off, I worked weekends, holidays and PTO days. It became so severe that I fell asleep 3 times when I was driving home from work. The exhaustion was and sometimes still is unshakable. I’m at the end of my PT career but have about 20 years left to work. So I’m 46, and have an MSPT and DPT and can’t be a PT. I’m under medical care for this, but it’s just heartbreaking to have witnessed the downfall of our entire profession.

Thanks Jason. I've been aware of Dr. Cook for a few months. Thanks Dr Cook. You're amazing. I believe that I have jumper's knee. At first, I blamed it on tree climbing arborist work. I was out of shape. However, I now think the overload came when I was trying to get the wrinkles out of an area rug, by jumping forward to stretch the rug. I'm 56 years old. I've been trying isometric loading with leg extensions. 5 sets @45 seconds, using a stop watch. The problem is that I have to drive a semi and climb in and out of it several times a day. Plus it's hard to keep my left leg extended, while driving. Thank goodness it's an automatic. I'm am self treating because Dr Cook is in the land down under, and I am in Cincinnati, Ohio. I also have been following "the knees over toes guy".

I'm going to see one of her trained colleagues in California. I've researched for 15 years to find out what was going on with me when doctors thought it was anxiety. Well I have anxiety because my senses tell me that my car is tipping and rocking excessively and that I'm on a mini roller coaster ride. Even though I know this is illogical my senses are not lining up. It only happens when I drive. Started feeling this a few months after my car was broadsided by another car and the body sensations have progressed over the years. I thought I was fine and never went to the ER or doctor. I want my life back when I'd drive anywhere I wanted without fear of the body sensations.
