My sisters friend has one with big tires and shit and she can only cruise at 55mph, to go any faster you would have to redline it. Not sure if something is wrong with it or what, but I know a trip to the beach that usually takes us four hours in my car took 6 hours in that fucking jeep

Mines 95 i hit 85 and climbing with very small tires tho thats the best way to go for speed

Just took my YJ to 80mph. Then it started to make this loud hissing noise and lost all clutch on the pedal. Bled the clutch and its working now. 🤷‍♂️

just got a 91 yj 6 cyl with the 4.0. Haven’t taken it on the freeway yet. You think i’ll get the same results.

Just came across this video. I had a '92 yj 2.5 and it drove like a car on the freeway just like this one here. Made it up hills doing 65mph, cruised wonderfully straight and smooth. Some back roads where I'm only doing 35mph then trying to go up a hill was a bit tougher, had to drop it to 3rd or 2nd and smash the gas just to maintain 35mph. My brother in law has a 4.0 and that's also a dog going up hills too, so I guess it's all in perception or how well maintained it is. My next vehicle is another YJ regardless of engine size.

My 2.5 tj on 32s will run 75 happily. It likes it more than doing 60 because its up into its powerband.

I just bought one of these. Only performance upgrades so far are Cobra exhaust and an Fi2000R tuner. Only other bike I've ever had was an 800. So this is a beast to me. Haha! I haven't even given it full throttle, yet.

When I bought her new in 92. I buried the needle on a slight downgrade with stock tires. She even beat a few cars light to light. Now she isn't so stock and I'm forking out $$$ for regearing. All worth it. Jeep Life

What motor mount you using? Will the stock Traxxas lcg motor mount fit?

I see you point but as long as they are putting even pressure on each spline it shouldn’t vibrate or anything, if they were machined tighter every little piece of dirt would be binding them up like stock plastic traxxas cvds.

Do you have any idea if this chassis would fit the rustler 4x4 vxl?

We used to do this trail back in the 1980s. Me & a buddy stumbled upon it late at night in the pouring rain. With my truck loaded with motorcycles & camping gear not knowing what to expect, I went down it. Didn't even try to make it up in the rain with a loaded truck. Been up it many times since. Nice trail.

I hope to find a chassis like this one or i will try to make one myself, i like this built very much!

How ? Lol my yj 2.5 with 33's goes 70 max on flat and downhill. Uphill I'm barely pushing 50 unless I go to 3rd and my rpm is hitting 3500

Wish I had the 2 extra gears. 3spd auto. Does great up to 60, then i'm sitting around 3100 rpm and forget accelerating. The 4 is great around town though.
