Adventure in the US Coast Guard

Here is a mix of videos from the CGC KIMBALL and a famous drug bust on a semi-submersible vessel. GoCoastGuard.com
I am a CG Auxiliarist comms guy and a broadcast engineer. With an ET background, the field is wide open for broadcast engineers as most are retiring. You are getting excellent training! Consider that after the Coast Guard.
27 years. I would do every second over again without hesitation.
Where is the sign up sheet
That’s the spirit!
Well then glad i saw this, those senn headphones hes got are 1800$ lol besides that very informative and inspirational especially since i want those cans
Fantastic
Puddle Pirates!!!!!
Puddle Pirates rule!!! At least we have an every day mission and not training for the next war, that may never happen.
Hi, i would like to know what’s the difference between et and it and if et is critical
IT is more in depth with computer networks and stuff bro
I wanna go ET!
Would love to see a interview with a Damage Controlmen ! Really interested in that career. I have just got a 52 on my ASVAB. My recruiter said I might qualify for BM, MK, and another one cant remember. How would the process be like if I entered the coast guard as a non-rate and what would I have to do to qualify for damage controlmen once in ?
Does Damage Controlmen (DC) have guaranteed A school ? I want to go to school to get specialized in it. And what bonuses are there currently available for DC ?
Can you enlist in your 50s. If you have prior service and are fit.
I am looking for information on the retention rate of MK-92 FCS ETs. This fire control platform is now only on 270 foot medium endurance cutters, as the 378s are now all gone.
This is what you call a promising coast guard career
Would I be able to join the active duty coast guard as prior service? Served 4 years in the Army and left as an E4.
Yes the Coast Guard accepts prior service personnel.
Cris, I had no idea that you have traveled so much. Wow, how exciting the places and adventures you have experienced Good luck on this new chapter in your career. Our best regards to you and your family
Is there no longer an ET bonus?
Is it true that the airman program (or its successor) is coming back?
Its already back up and running. Only difference is you cant be an airmen out of boot camp. Once you get picked up for an aviation A school youll become an airmen
irl videos so once your name is on an aviation a school list your are an airman? Does being an airman just help prepare one for working with CG aircraft later on as a petty officer?
@@kingkarl2561 you become an airmen once you get picked up for A school, not when you put your name on the A school list. Basically they changed the first 3 months of all aviation's A school and you report to your first air unit instead; you dont get to bid for your first airstation anymore and its randomly assigned. After 3 months of ground training at your unit you go to A school to learn the mechanical side. Then you go back to that air station.
irl videos thanks for the information, I appreciate it.
Where do I find the A school wait list times in the portal?
Is it true that advancing ranks as an ET is slower than other rates
Great vid it was very helpful! I was wondering if there’s a way to go active duty after being in the reserves? I want to enlist in the reserves during college then go active duty after I graduate, but if that’s not possible I’d rather wait to enlist. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Very interesting, great video. Please fix the sound, it's 1 channel/mono. Thank you!
