AMAZING !!!! I never fully understood about moving to the beat...you broke this down so I can keep with the music. This was a game changer for me....thank you so much !!!!!
Thank you so much ... I've dancing on 2 for almost 2 years and always messing up in the middle of the dance Switching on 2 for onn1 now I know the 2 on the conga is the tap on beat 2 :)
Thanks for sharing how each instrument contribuye al ritmo bailando salsa. Gracias
I can never find the beat in a social dance setting. I would say it's almost impossible. Of course, I'm a beginner and a white guy. Latins must have some special gene. It's really stressful in a social dance setting when the music is so loud you actually can't hear anything other than the general piano progression. So, I guess more RUclips videos and years of practice.
Despite dancing salsa for several years I still feel like a beginner especially as regards basic latin rhythm & music theory. I want to increasing my understanding and awareness of the individual percussions and instruments I am subconsciously dancing to because I know it will enrich the experience. This was a great video in helping me to attain that goal. Thank you..
My experience is the same as Carlos’! My husband and I met in an amazingly fun Salsa Rueda class - we’ve had years of fun dancing Salsa, then we moved and haven’t danced like that in years. Today we’ve created an opportunity to teach Rueda so we can have fun again - so suddenly we need to REALLY know what we are doing - Thanks!
Nice. I'd love if you would elaborate on terms like Montuno, mambo, and such. The difference between son and son Montuno. And why is it called like that. Love your work
extremely useful thank youuuu!!! <3
