You are correct. With the early vvti's you can use a throttle lock. This makes it totally cable driven. We have them on our site. If you are persistent on running a dbw setup, then you can a LINK DBW MODULE.

When giving advice, I always think what I would do if this is my project. Really depends on the power adder (turbo or supercharged) and what you are doing, also the trans, auto or manual. The wires leading up to are shielded. The short section is not do to it's location. We do shield the knock sensors leading up to that point so no interference with ignition signal or voltage spikes. We use to shield the subharness but after 700 plus harnesses with no data to support shielding that little run, we stopped doing it.

Still getting use to tuner studio. Wiring another one of these now and will have another video with a startup. I honestly like them. Nice budget option

Also I do not bash othershops/Companies, it is not professional. We all have our problems, we all make mistakes. We are human. Try running a one/two man show with the work volume that he and I have , make videos, help people. It's not easy. Why is myorder taking so long, well, we are doing the job of 7 people. Thousands of hours of research go into anything I do, years of experience.

This Holley setup honestly has been a pain in the ass to develop. Constant development. There are other great option out there too.

I would do it with a relay (ground switched) on a aux output instead of just jumping the two pins. You want it to act like oe and not load up one circuit. If you look at the diagrams the ignsw circuit is low load.

So I am looking to bypass switched power to MREL wore and adding 12v myself how would you recommend I go about doing that so I dont have issues and that it will work properly?

I think at the time we did it for 3k. Would not do that now though. That was with engine and regasketing the whole thing.

do your research. this is PECF. GM has been using plastic intakes since 1998. This is way stronger and can handle temps to 130 degree celsius annealed. Which is 244 degrees fahrenheit. With airflow around the itb's, it will never get that hot. Testing in the drift car shows temps around 110-125 degrees fahrenheit during testing with this setup. Did not deform, no issues at all with the "heat" . also these are upgraded gaskets, that will not leak.

​@@mywireshop I dont know this one, do you have a link ? I do use 3D printing process everyday. I often encounter heat and this would be a nice addition to my arsenal. Especially if this have a high heat deflection temperature. I often use PA-12 MJF from Protolabs for high temperature and sealed applications. But I was never able to stop leaks with FDM process. Thanks.

Idle controlled through the assisted electronic throttle motor. This particular job used a throttle lock because the input and outputs were limited. Never had a cold start issue with any vvti with this throttle lock.
