As diy mechanic buying the right tool sometimes is not an option as it's not available. So I had to make a bush that would allow me to use my hydraulic press to insert the front control arm bush on my s60. Hope this is helpful.

    Hi there! How are the bushings behaving? Are they worn in all these years? Did they develop play? Are they oxidised?

      Hi. It only has one cat from factory. It was replaced with a sports cat. There is no center resonator or midbox on the exhaust

      @@jamesswan9289 oh, my Clubman has a cat on the downpipe and a small one before the resonator. Right now I have a catless downpipe but I want to get some pops and burbles too.

    Hello! Iam a bit late i se now. 7 year but i hope you still respond. I have the same car as you with an D5 (163) hk and i was just wondering. Have you deleted the catalytic converter or do you still have it on and just deleted the mufflers? I have deleted the rear muffler and made a cut before the first muffler.

      Hi. It had the cat still on. Straight through exhaust with one box on the back. To be honest I miss this car. Was a beautiful car to drive

      Okey :) And the rear box was not the original if i can guess. Sadly mine is rebuilded to an tractor which means it can only go 30 kmh. Don't ask i live in sweden and it is hella normal when you're 15 to buy a car and rebuild it hahah. Anyways i have a little button which makes it goes faster haha

      I can't remember exactly but it was about 195bhp 470 torques

      I find the steering more responsive. Less likely to tram line also. Would happily do the job again for the results gained.

    Hello, did you press out the factory vertical bushing completely? I've read that you need to keep the metal sleeve in the control arm to use the powerflex bushing.

      If I remember correctly on these ones I removed the metal sleeve as per the instructions. . But the powerflex instructions do clarify what's needed.

      @@jamesswan9289 Same I have a 08 clubman s US. I have milltek sport cat, 2nd cat delete, magnaflow resonator and mufflers for exhaust system but doesnt burble and pop, do you think with resonator delete it would? Your clubman sounds perfect

      The resonator delete is the way to go. This now has a remap with a hybrid turbo, wagner intercooler and has a rolling road dyno at 260bhp

      Quite possibly. All I know was on mine the power continued on the Dyno all the way to redline. The torque dropped though I'll agree with that. Mine was a manuel. Long sold now

    Found that exact scaffolding piece on Ebay just now. It's a European scaffolding standard so it's a little tough to find in the US. Shipping from the UK is expensive. Search for "standard metal tubing" at mcmaster.com (McMaster-Carr Supply). They have scores of ID/OD sizes that can be ordered in 1 ft lengths for a reasonable price with much quicker shipping. The 48.3 scaffold tube is 1.902". Someone posted below that 1.875" ID works too.

    I just done one side with similar scaffolding pipe tomorrow other side, thank you for helping it was nightmare to push that candy bush, the rear one it’s easy and straight forward but that candy without pipe is a kind a challenge, a got polyurethane bushes but note power flex I’ll see how they perform thx again, update how your power flex preform after a year off use.

      Quite simply pushes in. Any sort of clamp. But as i had the press just simply used that. No adapter or anything.

      @@jacobrussell2388 it shouldn't be that difficult to push in. I do it without the steel insert in place (the part the bolt with go through). That allows the poly Bush more flex. Then push in the steel insert afterwards. Hope that helps

      Hi Dave. Yes the poweflex Bush is a great upgrade and makes the car more precise on the steering. When you say 'rear' you mean the upright bush? Yes with these bushes i did. The instructions were clear by powerflex. Hope this helps

      James Swan Hi James Thanks for the fast response, Yes that is the one I mean, I have had the power flex bushes a long time , I just have not pushed my self to fit them as my standard Volvo arms / bushes are still good, I am trying to get a lot done on the car now, I just fitted koni sport adjustable front and rear shocks, these are very nice, Have you got any other tips on fitting the powerflex bushes ? I do have another set of arms to fit them in to, so then I can just swap over, Like you I have got the blue pry leaver tool, And a press to do the bushes, Thanks for your help, Do you use any of the Volvo forums?       With sport off. On this mini the sport mode doesn't effect the exhaust note, only steering and accelerator response

      hi I got it of ebay. look for a C00G40 to suit 48.3mm dia tube. its also called a sleeve joint. hope this helps

      @@jamesswan9289 Awesome! Thanks for the info. Already did this job once back when you had to burn the rubber to reuse the sleeve. Now I've got two p2s so I'm gonna do this again but try out the race versions of the front bushings for my S60R and put the old ones on my V70.

      the bolt holes on the power flex bush bar can be rotated. so its just a question of pressing in bush the turning the bolt holes to the correct orientation. hope this helps

      I know the dual occ are designed with this particular air filter. I did try the original filter box and could only get one catch can in place, fitted to the right as you look at the engine. Hope this helps.

    Hello, I was just wondering if puttinflg powerflex on the control arm is not going to put to much presure on the ball joint? And if ia not going to make it brake faster? I am asking because i was thinking about doing this change but i am afraid that the ball joint will fail. Thanks for the video!

      Hi. As far as i know there is no extra stress on the ball joint. Regards braking speeds that depends on the condition of your brakes ect. The biggest improvement i feel is a very positive steering response. Hope this helps

      my local powerflow center chargers £250 for cat back straight thru and about £70 for every box/muffler fitted and obviously your choice of tail pipe can affect cost too. not sure if that helps you. based in Leicester also

      James Swan is that including fitment labour cost ? I think his £495 quote is the exhaust and tip setup to how I want it. So it's no more than £495 (I hope) I am in Glasgow so I am at the mercy of this agent unless I opt for a road trip. Thanks for the reply 👍🏻

      @@monkehbitch stage 3 sport tune (RICA) upgraded (billet) turbo, fuel pump, fuel lines, 120% injectors, Vagner custom intercooler, silicone pipes, swapped the head gasket (incase) k&n fliters, home made addition cold air feed to turbo ....... resulted in 297bhp and 710nm. Long gone now though I do miss her
