What happens when a Lightroom User Tries Capture One?
I took the same raw photo of a Princess Leah bondage cosplay and edited in Lightroom, which I usually use, and CaptureOne which I barely know and compared the results to see if there would be an appreciable difference.

Huion H640P Review For Photo Retouching
Просмотров 4,7 тыс.6 лет назад
I decided to try out the Huion H640P graphics tablet. I wanted a tablet when retouching photos but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a more expensive tablet. This H640P was a good price and works great. I included a video retouching a photo. It was only the second time I ever used a tablet. Have some things I still need to get used to but it's a bit improvement over using a mouse as far as...

How to cut rolls of seamless paper fast
Просмотров 46 тыс.8 лет назад
Tips on cutting seamless paper roll with power miter saw. I needed to trim a couple rolls of Savage Seamless Background Paper down about a foot. Cut one roll with a hacksaw but it was slow. Tried out my miter saw and it worked well. || ► Subscribe to My Channel With the Link Above || ► Visit my blog at blog.sarkiko.com/ || ► View more pictures on Instagram sarkiko

    is there an official way to cut a roll? do print shops do it? lucky me found three rolls of 24" wide epson premium semi gloss rolls (for inkjet, amazingly not solvent), would love to have them cut to 13 inch wide so I can do 13x19s, and then 11x17s on the other half.

    Once unrolled, do you recall if the paper edge was fuzzy or a sharp cut? Did dust inject itself in the interior side any? Thanks for posting this, I realize my questions have come years later.

    Do you have any problems with dust on the paper when you unroll it

    Perfect! I have a 12” double bevel miter that slides. I’m about to trim my 9’ down for my new basement studio. Thanks.

    It was asked before by someone else and I'll ask again because you didn't answer the other person. What size miter saw/blade did you use? I assume the one in the video is a 10" saw and the new one you just bought is a 12" saw. Hence, does a 12" saw cut all the way through in one pass?

    • @Sarkiko
      @Sarkiko Год назад

      Actually this was less than 10". I don't have it anymore. Can't remember if it was 7.25" or 8.25". It was circular saw sized blades.

    Hello, What blade did you use?

    • @Sarkiko
      @Sarkiko 3 года назад

      I believe it was a finer tooth blade. The tire I would use for cutting trim work.

      A blade for pvc or plastic would do it perfect 👌

  • @joseph-the-seventh

    This appears to be the best way to cut a roll of seamless. A bigger blade would have helped I guess. Do you still recommend using a table saw for cutting seamless or have you found a better method?

    • @Sarkiko
      @Sarkiko 3 года назад

      A table saw I think would be a bit awkward. I have a bigger miter saw now that works better. The I've I used had a smaller than normal blade. Miter saw is probably the easiest method as long as everything is well supported.

    Probably could place a thin piece of wood under the roll. There is a gap between the blade and the roll before you start cutting. About 3/8 of an inch. Then you would be able to cut it in one pass. Also if you blue tape the paper to the wood you would not need the clamps. Good video!

    • @abydosianchulac2
      @abydosianchulac2 3 года назад

      Couldn't cut it in one pass because the blade diameter was too small, the saw was hitting the roll before the blade was all the way through.

    • @Sarkiko
      @Sarkiko Год назад

      I think I needed to sorry the other end higher to get rid of the gap. This was a smaller than normal saw and the motor kept hitting the roll.

    • @Sarkiko
      @Sarkiko 4 года назад

      Should be similar. Try but be careful. I would make sure roll is kept tight with tape, every thing is stable and securely clamped including the saw.

  • @hotpuppy72
    @hotpuppy72 7 лет назад

    Neat idea. I would have turned the clamps around (handle to the back) and put the end clamp inside the roll. That keeps it out of the way and gives a positive clamp. The outside of the roll isn't going anywhere the inside isn't going.

  • @jmsaba123
    @jmsaba123 7 лет назад

    Would've never thought to do this! Was looking for a tool to cut rolls of film.. Have you tried raising the roll closer to the blade so you can cut it without having to rotate? That extra inch closer to the blade may help!

    • @Sarkiko
      @Sarkiko 7 лет назад

      The miter saw I cut that with was an 8 1/4" blade. It's an old saw and most miter saws now are 10" or 12" except for some cordless ones. I got a bigger miter saw since i made this video and I don't have to rotate it.

    • @hotpuppy72
      @hotpuppy72 7 лет назад

      It would be extremely dangerous to raise the roll off the deck. It could jump and cause all sorts of bad things to happen...
