Birthday Trip to Bali
I took break from work and school and celebrated my 28th birthday in Bali with my girls! It was so much fun and very much needed. I actually had an advanced patho exam the day after I came home from my trip 😩. I had to study on the plane but I didn’t open my books not once while on vacation lol. I ended up with an 80%! Not too bad! Still trying to find that work life balance

Thank you so much for your tips. I didn’t do well on my respiratory exam, and now we’re learning about cardiovascular. I’m trying to see what I can do to improve, so I do better. I don’t want to fail. The practice questions you would do all day, were they from quizlet based on your chapters?
Thank you so much for this information. You’re so pretty !
good that u included d syllabus. tnx! i see that u studied 4 quarters...means 4 semesters/2 years? is that accelerated BSN after d pre-requisites? just curious coz I am 61 yes WD Bachelor degree in non- nursing. I m very interested in Accelerated BSN but i am not sure if i can manage to pass d exams? I have thyroid problem that affects my memory n i knew that Nursing subjects/syllabus r based mostly in Science n Math. i might not be having big problems in Math but i m sure i will have in Science. any advice? tnx
I was on the phone with fafsa and they told me they can’t fund a second bachelors how did u do it?
Hey girl. You mentioned that you were in your senior year of undergrad and you realized psych is not for you. I’m also in the same boat with biomed. My question is, did you finish through with psych major before applying for the accelerated RN program or not? If maybe you did not, did they like ask you why you didn’t complete that major?
Hey girl I’m also in the same boat as you (senior biology pre-med major with a chemistry minor). You have to finish your degree before going to an ABSN program 😊
Great advice 💜💜
Your soo pretty girl 😍😍😍😍
This might be a stupid question but do the classes go faster than traditional nursing programs? For example, doing a BSN program is 4 semesters of strictly nursing courses and a typical ABSN program is 3-4ish semesters of nursing courses as well. So is the ABSN program more rigorous than a BSN program? I’m literally so scared to start my ABSN program and I’m trying to mentally prepare as much as possible
I would say the absn courses you’re learning the same information as a bsn program but in an accelerated pace. So it’s difficult because it’s a lot information to learn in shorter amount of time.
Thanks Idalia for this helpful video. Any idea on what to read while getting ready to start an ABSN to refresh the mind?
I would say NOTHING! Enjoy your freedom I don’t think there is any way to really prepare
Do you have to write research papers in an ABSN program??
Yes we take research classes where you have to write papers
My type of woman
Is GPA of 12th grade or Graduate degree considered for prerequisite ??? please reply
Gpa of 12th grade is only considered if you are going to a traditional nursing school straight after high school
How did you study for your exams? Because Exam 1 looks crazy. I’m thinking about doing the ABSN and I’m nervous I won’t be able to keep up
Girl you are so beautiful omggg!!
Thank you love!
Thank you so much 😊
First of all, you are gorgeous!! Secondly, thank you for this video, it was very helpful.
Hi I am a registered nurse in Ghana and hold a BSN. I want to work in US or Canada. Should I do an accelerated BSN before writing NCLEX RN? Or do you have any idea
No u don't need to u just have to write NCLEX
Great video! Thank you!. :)
i never would have though admission committees would take waitressing/customer service experience into consideration like how you mentioned! it’s true, these types of job demonstrate serving people! thanks for the info! ☺️
your bf hyping you up at the end was sooo cuuuttteee 🥺😭
Am from Kenya Africa how does it work for me get in accelerated program already have a bachelor in clinical medicine and surgery
awesome video, thank you!!
Is it possible to apply to an ABSN with an associate's degree in Health Science?
You need a bachelors degree
Sigh! I got admissions ABSn fall for only 12months awesome! But I’m super scared It’ll be too rigorous n I’d fail out. Thinking of deferring it till spring while I search for 2year community college ADN. I keep telling myself other ppl who are doing n passing the ABSN don’t have two head but Im still looking for my second head . I dunno I don’t want fear to keep me from greatness but also think wat if I can’t keep up... sigh ! Wats y’all true experience with ABSN 12months program?
Thank you for sharing your experience. Do you work now in Florida?
thank you. Where is this 12 month program wow that's great shorter then the 21 month program. I am in los angeles area if the 12 month is in my city. Can it be online then labs on campus?
What would you say if they ask” what would you do if put in a unethical situation?” I don’t have any unethical situations I’ve been put in
Amazing! Congrats. Just followed you on IG and so proud to see a Haitian queen doing her thing! I have a bachelors in chemistry and currently work in a lab but highly thinking of changing my career to nursing! Your video was informative and is giving me the confidence to pursue it! The nerves are there but I’m excited to help make a difference in peoples lives!
I'm a new subscriber.... I love your video. Can I ask a question I just finish my Bsc in Nursing this month I have no job experience yet can I apply for the accelerated nursing program.
Yes you can!
What nursing school did you attend in Florida. I just got my degree in bio and I’m on the fence of accelerated rn program.
😂😂😂 I struggle with opening it up to, what u can do is put it under hot running water and that will help to loosen the lid and open it up.
Thanks for the tip!
Okay first of all your beautiful af!!!😍😍, are you Haitian !!? I saw comment down there it seem like you were not sure lol. These are some great tips!!! Thank you soooo much !. I start pharm and foundation of nursing next semester🥲🥲 🤧. I bought 20 packs note cards the other day I’m ready!!!💪🏾.
Thanks babe! Yes I'm Haitian! I'm so excited for you! You got this, let me know if you need any tips
Hey thanks for the video Just asking do these acccelerated programs in nursing allow one to get a study permit to work?
I'm not sure I understand your question. You can work as a nurse after completing the program and passing the NCLEX
Granddaughter graduated from an 11 month 8 day intensive #1 in her class summa cum laude on 17 December 2020. Was hired Houston Methodist.
Congratulations to your granddaughter
I love that you asked for your bf's perspective at the end! Super supportive too. Getting ready to apply for a few programs myself. I was gonna apply for two, but after watching this video I'm bumping it up to four schools. Thank you!
Good luck!!
Seriously considering a career change, thank you for this video!! Especially that you showed an example of whats going to be on the test (!) Also I love how supportive your bf is😭 yall are a power couple. Good luck w finishing the rest of your programs!
You're so welcome! Thanks babe!
What absn program do you attend?
Thank you for this...been so confused on whether I can do this or not...I’m fresh out of undergrad
Of course you can!
Please how do I get my prerequisite done as an international student, do I apply to a school for that?
I'm applying to an 12 month ABSN program as well and I've been looking for a video that explains precisely what being in an ABSN program is like. I really appreciate that you included a picture of your syllabus to give an example of coursework and what to expect in terms of course load. I don't think people really know what they're in for until they get into the program so thank you, this was probably one of the most informative videos I've seen on an ABSN program! xo
Also loved that you included your mans perspective from when you were in the program! what a great idea! also you're really gorgeous!
Glad it was helpful!
If u don’t have a bachelors degree already like me & just pre-reqs.. can i still attend one of these schools?
Hi tomiwa please how did you get your prerequisites done, did you apply in a school for it or how, please share with me, thank you
You will need a bachelors degree love
Looked through the comments, but did not see the University in Florida she mentioned for the ABSN. Did she mentioned wher she went for 12 month program?
I decided to get my ADN after receiving my undergrad because it is much cheaper and RN-BSN programs aren’t that expensive either. Accelerated programs will break the bank, but I’m definitely envious of how fast you all finish. My program is two years long in addition to the 1 year long RN-BSN program I am required to complete. awesome video! Very well put together and the ending was cute! I can’t wait for more content🤗
@ Very true. Just hate that once I graduate, I’ll have to do more school after 2 years of torment😂
Hi Idalia! I’m new to your channel, thanks for sharing~ I have a question, how long does it take to complete ALL the nursing prerequisite for someone who holds a BA( Literature) diploma? Thanks😊
It depends, but if you are diligent you can finish prereqs in 1 year
Loved your video! Definitely considering your advice for writing my nursing essay!
Glad it was helpful!
I absolutely love your voice! You’re so beautiful and full of helpful information! Very inspiring!! I also want to become an NP so I’m definitely looking forward to move videos on that when you have time of course! Good luck!!! ♥️
Thank you so much!!
I love your top where did you get it ?
Prettylittlething!
Since you didn’t work how do you pay for your apartment, books, tuition, etc. I know I can apply for loans but I’m nervous that won’t be enough!
My grandparents helped with my apartment, and I saved up before the program to pay for tuition and took out loans for the rest. Alot of my classmates paied for their apartments with leftover loan money. Nursing is the one degree where getting a job is almost guaranteed so taking out loans is bit less scary because you k now you can pay them back
