This is often referred to clarify that you mean playing solo controlling a single investigator as opposed to a very popular variant of playing two-handed solo (or more) where you play by yourself but control two investigators

It certainly is rather easy using the full cardpool nowadays if you are an experienced player, but even though my answer is kind of late, your question seems to be from a new player perspective. Thanks for the comment. They are supposed to represent "average" (average resources per card. So the amount of resources divided by the amount of cards)

I believe I did somewhere on stream, couldn't tell you where though. I personally don't fancy that much, feels too expensive resource- and actionwise. It's a fine card, I do prefer taboo Scroll of Secrets for sure.

@@Cuherdir I figured you would've covered it somewhere. I think compared to some of the cards you panned it at least deserves some consideration (not for every mystic deck ever, but more generally for its utility).

Diana is a 5-6 willpower Mystic in disguise 🙂 She can play combat ok, she plays as a guardian then though. Gloria and Marie can play intellect, again they're playing their seeker offclass there.

It's an action intensive way to draw which is a hard sell for many mystics as they lack action advantage. But you're right, it's waaay better than some cards I included to dismiss them quickly.

Well, for sure it's a big liability, but once you get some XP in you have your spells upgraded and can manage way better. Before, it's still decent enough on standard to operate with 5 (with the Pendulum).

Well, I was only looking at mystic allies and only at lvl 0 sooo :P Also Huberts is just too expensive for any mystic that doesn't already field 4 intellect and plans to use it.

@@Cuherdir I do like St. Hubert's for very specific reasons in Diana with only 3 book (to enable desperate skills with Arcane Research from get going), but yeah, other than that I totally agree.

Same thing as Diana's weakness. I didn't *cancel* , I *ignored* which are two distinct game terms. Deny works even if you can't cancel the effects. It doesn't work on things that cannot be "prevented" like I believe the agenda flip in Courtain Call.

Advancing the act at least in true solo where not being able to help each other is something mostly detrimental in this scenario, so specific. I mean, I could easily Razor the Goat Spawn, but why risk autofailing and having to deal with this hunter for longer when you can get all the clues from the initial VP locations first

So the first one is easy: count the cards in the deck, 33, sum up all the resource costs of the cards, 33. The numbers now are the average resource you have to pay per card, so #resources/#cards. We get exactly 1 resource per card. Now the following numbers are the totals if you 1) only count one Machete, as if you play one Machete and don't lose it for any reason, you won't ever play the second Machete. This means you don't have to consider the resource costs of the second copy of Machete, which brings the resource total down to 30 and the average to ~0,91 2) Emergency Cache doesn't cost resources, but if you play it, it actually grants you 3 resources, so you can substract 3 resources from the total for the deck for each copy, bringing it down to 24 and ~0,73 (whre I just realize there is a roundoff error in the video apparently) 3) Guts, Overpower and Perception should draw you a card once you use them, cards that replace themselves like this once they're used are called cantrips which I believe is a term derived from Magic. If you discount those cards from the card count, it's 24 resources per 29 cards -> ~0,83 resources per card on average As I believe I explain, it's just a rough baseline I honestly never do myself, I eyeball the cost curve. But it's a solid way to check your deck if you struggle to build or play one as it seems too expensive (or inexpensive). As you draw 1 card and get 1 resource per upkeep, if you keep an average of 1 resource per card, you should theoretically be able to play all your cards with your upkeep money without having to take resource actions for example.
