I love this scene because it shows Jack, who has been nostly calm and collected up to this point, finally reach his limit. When Rose and Fabrizio, the two closest people to him, are in danger, he freaks the fuck out and I love every second of it.

Am I like the only one that thinks this should have been kept in the film? I mean, this scene doesn't sugar-coat anything about the disaster, shows the reality of the tragic situation (at least what it would have us to believe actually happened), and hits you hard. It's like a slap in the face, Cal-style. Some would argue it is "too far", which i can understand to a degree, but this can't be that far from the real thing, realistically. Maybe that could be my pessimistic and hopeless side talking, though.
